  1. I have really been enjoying playing PvE Alac Heal Spectre over the last few months, and since the balance change, it has become impossible to even heal on some strike missions. We lost access to regen, prot, quick and vigor on well of bounty change(not to mention the feature it had to full boons), huge reduction to consume shadows healing. Healing is just not viable even on a full healing build, I even tried adding more vitality and healing power to the build after the update, and its just not capable, especially seeing as I just loose all my shadowforce after taking a little bit of damage. I was always able to get stability out of well of bounty through pre blanketing the group in boons.
    Literally was already low tier healer in almost everyone eyes, but it was capable and very fun. Now it's not even a healer build, there just is no heal build to play anymore.

  2. I actually retired my Virtuoso post patch, because it sickens me to play something that literally requires 0 skill to win everything in the game. Virtuoso is undoubtedly lined up behind Specter when it comes to nerfs, and I suspect Virtuoso's will be far and deservedly more severe when they come. The only thing more pathetic is watching all the Specter players jump ship to roll Virtuoso, because Specter's training wheels were removed.

  3. please do your homeworks.
    I mean you have an aduence and if you just watch the patchnotes and work with "feelings" that wont do it.

    In worst case, others will take your expertise as true and never find out that its not.

    eg. spectre is so strong cause of the huge load of mobility primary. he also has the damage needed and survives even if getting hit (as long its not a burst, sometimes even with burst) but being near immune to meele attacks cause kiting and teleporting is the main issue on the counterpart that class can also make kiting against him completely useless as long you have no way to destroy the projectiles.

    In math this could mean: 0% damage from mele attacks as long as you can avoid pulls or bad positioning. Normal amount of damage from range skills as long vision is given or game doesnt bug (so 100% with an *). Lastly 100% autoheal recovery against all non spectres (or classes with high mobility and cant be pressured while try to hold that class in fights).

    So your "let them get an damage reduction" would break spectre again…

    and this was the difficult part. the easyer part is doing math without probabilities. Like how much worser is it to get shrout scaling reduced from 1.5 to 0.69? how much less is it compared to last patch with the same build?

    I hope you see this as a fair criticism, cause i really dont want to attack you as a person.

    I can also understand that you might not have the time for that work, esp cause thats not fast content.

  4. Elementalist not needing an inflatable donut to sit down after a balance patch is something of a small miracle. As Batiatus would say, we were ready to spread our cheeks for deeper ramming, but we got a pass from ANet this time. Happy day!!

  5. Anyone want to talk about Anet buffing inspiration for mesmers that it could actually use mantra's to be a heal spec that gives quick/alac.
    With the amount of classes that can currently tank and heal and give an offensive boon at the same time, tank chrono could use some love.

  6. simple solution for vindicator, make it consume 75 endurance instead of 50. that way you will still have to wait for the 2nd dodge, but it will be better then it used to be, full 100 consume.

Sometimes I wish GW2 professions were designed in a standard way, with roles in mind, so that they wouldn't be stuck 10 years down the road with the only true ultimate solution being to just redo everything. Every patch is a gamble (unless you main guardian lmao). I can't wait for them to figure out what they want their game/classes to be. To the point where I'm just more excited about GW3 at this point, assuming they wouldn't bank entirely on "being different" again and the game suffering for it in turn. One could argue the roles-free design led to boring encounters, since you can't make interesting fights if players have little to no control over it, and was a reason why GW2 never really "kicked off." Which led to being stuck with a small team forever, which led to year-long droughts, etc, etc… Crazy how a single decision can snowball infinitely.

  8. Thank you, Teapot for a very fair and balanced review of the recent buffs/nerfs/bugs/QQ makers. I think you are correct especially when you say they need to be more careful about floating these changes out. There was too much wrong with this rollout. I do think the new team are heading in the right direction though.

  9. player hammer spellbreaker in wvw as a duellist and found mesmers and willbenders kicked my butt. other classes you can stun lock them and it's so brutal, but really fun. just need a strat for the really mobile classes
