No doubt, Mick was the back bone of the band. He's the only one who stayed half sober for the long haul. Don't let them take nothing from you Mick. You the Man.
For so long, Mick was the only truly talented person in the band. Nikki is a more recent Sid Vicious. Tommy couldn't play the bongos but he looks cool when his kit flies around. And then there's Vince. It would be a sad situation to me if I cared one wit for Crue.
Mick was the only one with any talent. Tommy Lee is the most overrated drummer. His kit spins oh boy . That doesn't make him a good drummer.

When you hear Motley Crue, you hear Mick. Plain and simple. People get rusty. But he's not losing his mind. His mind is fine. No one is perfect.
I’ve seen the Crue since the 80’s and Mick is the musical driving force of the band. Vince was always a mediocre to now horrible singer but an absolutely great front man. Tommy is good drummer, not the greatest but he gives it his all! And Nikki is a low level bassist with a pick and a big mouth.
I've never seen him fuck up once so I will give him the benifit of the doubt. There is a chance he couldn't hear well on his in ear monitors so maybe he decided to pass on the solo and play safe.
With that said it seems to me he probably just forgot to play at that moment but who knows .

Mick Mars is the most respectable person in that band. All the years they have been around there a ton of stories, a movie, whatever. But you know who pretty much no one shits on besides his own band members these days, Mick. To me that says a lot.

Vince Neil is garbage as a singer. Always has been. With enough takes in the studio and double tracking and reverb they made it so it wasn't so bad. ON TAPE. He's always been ass live.
Nicki Sixx… Is nothing special on bass. Mediocre on his best days. How can you play that many years and still be only that good? It dumbfounds me.
Tommy Lee… Was a fairly solid drummer. 30 years ago.
Let's not act like these guys aren't old as dirt themselves. Nicki should change his name to Nicki Sixxty Four. He's old enough for retirement.
But hey, I was never much a fan to begin with. A few songs I liked long ago. Never enough to buy an album though.
