The animation was pretty unique for its time too, alot like kill la kill was. Hard to believe this was like 15 years ago now.

Whenever I'm asked what my favorite anime is i have two answers. One piece if you're ready to run through the slow boil, and Gurren Lagann if you want something quick and fiery! And i can't choose one over the other, both are my favorite

Gurren is an anime I first saw when I went to one of my first anime conventions. It's still just as much fun to see nowadays as back then. The studio has since come out with some fantastic series that I love watching, including Kill la Kill.
You're in for a ride. Gurren Lagann is one of these anime which will stand the test of time, will always be remembered as one of the great ones (like Madoka Magica, Evangelion, …) because it was genre-defining or simply too good to not know it. Expect over the top action beyond comparison.
What a coincidence: I just started watching this the other day. I'm on ep. 5 so far. Pretty good anime 👍 I wasn't sure about the animation style at first but it's actually awesome 🔥🔥🔥
