  1. I remember when i first started playing i was in a big chaos game, and while my sandbar crocodile was phased out a guy cast wrath of god, on my next turn crocodile came back out and guess who died lmao

  2. I can't remember when I actually started playing but it was as early as mirage in 1997 or maybe as late as 1999. Either way I had a ton of these cards because they were cheap and handed out by friends or in draft chaff bins etc. Nostalgic.

  3. I wish I could understand this guy. I guess it's all a massive troll for entertainment purposes?

I've watched several of his videos and there's a bit of entertainment value, but his knowledge of the product is astoundingly bad. How is it that someone who seems to know so little has managed to build such a massive audience?

I want to believe that he really knows what is rare or uncommon- perhaps not 100% all of Mirage which came out probably around when he was born but at the very least the stuff in Alpha/Beta/Unlimited- you know, the most iconic and expensive sets in the game. Would it hurt to do a little research before doing these openings?

I want to believe that he knows at least a little bit historically about some of these cards. Jolrael's Centaur, Granger Guildmage, Stupor, Wall of Roots, Dwarven Miner- cards like these were Type 2 (Standard) staples when this set was released. And Natural Balance was huge part of the Cadaverous Bloom/Squandered Resources/Prosperity combo deck in both Mirage Block and Standard. It's like he's never heard of these cards before.

Oh, and Frenetic Efreet has 0 mana: coin flip to phase out, making all removal a gamble, and was also a standard staple. So not all phasing was awful.

Boomerang, which you should know came from Legends.

And I really want to believe that he knows 'salve' isn't pronounced like that. Same with 'apparition.' And 'igneous.'
