Government Affairs Council: September 13, 2022

If you missed our September Government Affairs Council (GAC) meeting, you can view our archived recording here to stay in the know.

We heard updates from public and elected officials representing our state, Pierce County, City of Puyallup and City of Sumner.

We also featured a panel of business owners providing updates on new, expanding and relocating businesses in Puyallup and Sumner. Economic development is alive and well in East Pierce County!

Here are just a few highlights:
– Red Dot Corporation, a manufacturer of premium mobile HVAC units and components, is moving its headquarters from Tukwila to Puyallup. HR Director Ana Armas-Rullan joined us to provide updates and more information about the upcoming move.
– Step By Step and Farm 12 founder Krista Linden gave us an update on her new cafe/bakery, FIKA, adjacent to the restaurant & event center. We also heard updates about Oxbow, Sumner’s new restaurant under construction across from The Old Cannery, and other businesses.

Save the date for October’s GAC meeting, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 8:00am. This meeting will also serve as our virtual Candidate Forum so don’t miss out!
