Gordon tackles a pub for the first time, getting to grips with The Fenwick Arms in rural Lancashire. The pub is run by landlord Brian, who, after 30 years in the business and a quadruple heart bypass, still puts in 120 hours a week and insists on laying down the law in the kitchen. Despite their best endeavours, Brian and his partner Elaine are £250,000 in debt and are losing £1,500 a week.

In charge is executive chef Philippe, producing everything from all-day breakfasts to Hoi Sin noodles with an astounding lack of flair.
Season 2, Episode 2
The venue for this programme is The Glass House in Ambleside, where Ramsay finds owner Neil Farrell close to tears as another Saturday night turns into a nightmare.

I love the first half of all these shows,
Most of these owners don't deserve help.
The show just goes to pampering from there.
This is the script.
The UK versions are so much better than the American ones. No dramatic music, no crazy outbursts, just Gordon trying to help these restaurants
Why doesn’t he wear a t shirt ever?
