  1. I am confused. As far as I can see, you haven't tested more than a handful of phones in the last 2 years. In the last 12 months, hardly any. Did you test the Sony Xperia 1 VI? The Oppo Find X6 Pro? Find X7 Ultra? Vivo X100 Pro or Ultra? Xiaomi 14 Ultra? That seems to be a whole lot og "No". Yet you declare the Pixel 9 Pro is the best smartphone camera? Right.

  2. Absolutely love my Pixel 9 pro XL and my Pixel watch 3 45mm! Owned both of these since day one and coming from an IPhone 15 pro max along with an Apple watch ultra 2 I can't say I miss them at all! These two devices are really that good, I've had previous pixel phones along with the 8 pro and what a difference Google has done! The screen, battery, modem, chipset (yes on paper it's slower but honestly you don't see it at all using the phone day to day), camera and build. The phone is great. Pixel watch 3 45mm is soooo good too, had the pixel watch 2 and man the bigger size is so needed, its faster too along with the battery is longer it feels like. Google is great this year!

  3. Great review of camera. Pixel 9 makes great photos within a small range of situations, in contrast to a DSLR or mirrorless camera. But given what it does at camera level quality it is amazing.

  4. I don’t understand the hypocrisy. When testing any phone with a Snapdragon processor, the first thing that is often discussed is the benchmark performance and comparison with iPhones and MediaTek processors. However, when reviewing an iPhone or a Google phone, the focus tends to be on software features. Considering that an expensive phone’s performance is a crucial aspect, it would be beneficial to include performance evaluations alongside feature discussions

  5. My pixel 7 pro xl is still going strong so I have no reason to upgrade but I hope the 10 capitalizes on all this good stuff by the time I'm ready to upgrade. Otherwise I may grab a 9 pro xl on sale or something once they reveal the 10

  6. Not a professional photographer, but recently upgraded to the Pixel 9 Pro, and it was a night and day difference over my old phone. Having said that, my old phone was a Huawei P30Pro which was no slouch in the camera department, and was better than most of the offerings from Apple and Samsung for many years, but doesn't hold a candle to the new Pixel

When my wife was away at her parents, she always wanted photos of our dog. Lots of times it was the dog curled up on the couch with not much light, and the Huawei struggled a bit with low light (unless in night mode on a tri pod). The Pixel is awesome with low light even just basic point and shoot without playing with settings at all.

Love that it has an astro mode as well. Have tried it a bit around my house, but we are heading on vacation soon, and going to be in areas without much ambient light from cities and such, so excited to try it out on some truly dark skies! Hopefully get a couple of nights of decent skywatching and we aren't socked in with clouds the whole time, which would just be my luck!!!

  7. at 12 mp, the PIxel 9 oversharpens everything. At 50mp, it looks much more natural, but is slow at taking and saving the picture. It's not zippy at all in 50mp mode compared to the Samsung and iPhone devices.
