I was the lucky winner selected to name Harley’s foal. After much thinking, I choose the name Angus.
Angus, (from the Scottish Aonghus) means One Strength. I thought that fitting to represent what the Goldys Farm community is at its best. All pulling together for common goals. In mythology, Angus is sometimes depicted with a golden spear or other gold apparel so it ties in the Gold color for the farm.
So this is a nod to the Goldys community as we come together in support of the missions both old and new and cheer as the farm transitions to the future. And a wink to the Scottish heritage of the Tilston family as the newest members to live on the farm and be caretakers of the place so many of us hold dear.
I hope you all like the name!
