Welcome to episode 12 of my Pacific Drive Let’s Play!
Have you ever wonder what would happen if you mixed Sunautica with Stalker, then added a dash of Death Stranding? Well, Pacific Drive aims to answer that burning question with style and aplomb!
Thanks to Keymailer and Ironwood Studios/Kepler Interactive for the game Key!

It's funny how stressful it feels for me at times, when I explore the zone myself. But watching you do it, is almost tranquil. 🙂
Also I am very curious how you get through your first high instability zone 😀
AH, FINALLY!
Thank you, Aavak, for bringing us back to the car. Not to say that I've been obsessed in any sense… I've loved your recent videos, even if they are of a mechanic of a very different type and journeys in different bizarre places and so on. But it is good to see the car again.

17:48 A localized storm! In this part of the country, in this part of the zone, in this part of the sector, localized entirely around the immediate vicinity of your vehicle?!
there is an option in the gameplay settings for brighter nights
I'm happy to be proven wrong when the outcome is of this magnitude, marvelous haul!
To my defense, I don't have the game so I'm basing my assessments on other videos and what I can notice in Aavak's coverage.
Looking forwards to seeing more!
OUR CAR GREAT!
OUR AAVAK GREAT!
OUR DRIVER GREAT!
When you need the light, by all means turn on your torch. I only meant that you don't have to do both on our account 😅
unlike inscription… autonauts lets you program… well no code programming, but still programming… I tell you!
Giving the abductors flares even though you have the shield is peak Aavak wholesomeness.
You know… I have 40 hours into the game and finished the story… that's the first I've seen of those Payloads. I've always assumed that they were just Corrupted Anchors because the one that spawned infront of me on the side of the road was a Corrupted Anchor that dropped from the sky. Never bothered to go to any of the other marks that appeared in the storm because getting Corrupted Anchors in Unstable Midzone locations was much more reliable.
I would personally say that any time you can trade Gears (effectively scrap) for gas cylinders or chemicals, it's worth it. Scrap is excesively pleantiful and you would actively need to try to run out of it, gas cylinders and chemicals however, you can be happy to leave a zone with a handful considering you only ever find like 1-3 in very specific buildings.
'Mystery solved! We don't have to worry about that ever again.'
0.14 seconds later:
'There's something back there…'
Is the mystery anomaly perhaps an abductor variant? I would swear that not every abductor has the angular red protrusion on the bottom, only some of them.
"…..but today is not that day," he says. Hmm. Is that a reference from the Silo series? I hope so, sir, because I think you would really enjoy it. It's on Apple TV in the Americas.
Ah, our precious Comet Breacher. Our Car Addictive…?
I’ve been a subscriber for a few years now and never knew that English wasn’t your first language. Granted that I’m an American and don’t know the history or culture of Wales. I always thought that they taught both languages in school similarly to Canada where they teach English and French. 39:04
Thanks for the episode!
Also, conducting electricity is basically like the Uncanny Valley. If you barely conduct electricity at all, not enough current flows to cause damage. If you conducted electricity perfectly, then you would just shunt all the energy away and none of it would apply to you in a way that causes damage. Sadly, we humans conduct electricity well-ish, which results in enough current flowing to bring plenty of power in, but also means enough of it gets lost on the way through and turned into heat and muscle misfires that it tends to be mildly to thoroughly lethal by the point there are visible sparks and arcs.
To awnser your question. Yes, yes i do. What question? The one you asked halfway trough the vid. 🙂
Also i do really love how you started out hating the abducters the most and now they are just your friendly puppies.
Yay! I thought you’d got distracted by Necrosmith and forgot!
Understandable if you did tbh
25:29 You hadn't scanned that car! And a note on tourists: Yes they do throw stuf at you (like that random anchor a few episodes ago) will edit as I watch
Really glad you got your hands on a Payload! Biscuits Aquired!
Really wanted you to chuck that stable anchor ball down the hill…
I love how confident Aavak is with chaos like the radioactive drop pods and giving flares to the abductors. Zone-dweller at heart, clearly.
Crackling Crawlers are no joke. One of the very few anomalies that will have me skipping loot en masse… they just wreck your car through a mix of impact and electricity.
Well I don't know if there was more to the message that the Left-Right cut off, but I read the caption and it was someone saying they were in Sector 13 and that their transmitter was busted.
Can't wait for the next episode, the cliffhanger is a curse 😅
Couldn't you have carried that insulated panel in your hands then stored it in the trunk?
Do the radio calls get recorded like the one from Francis and Tobias? They should be, we've been missing a lot of them by the radio getting turned off by the anomalies 😢
Not a huge fan of the game but watched anyway 👍
"You are likely to be eaten by a grue, if this fate seems particularly cruel, consider who's fault it could be, not a torch or a match in your inventory."
gotta love the not going to stop for this car, it's definitely not a squire, when it in fact was a squire
I can understand risking it for the biscuit, but why then take the crumbs and leave the biscuit! I thought, surely this is an April Fools prank and he'll go back for the panel, but no! Unacceptable! /s. On a more serious note, would the electrical protection from the insulated headlights spread to the surrounding front bumper, hood and panels or do only panels/doors do that?
