Gifts from the Heavens – Pacific Drive Payload Plunderer!

Welcome to episode 12 of my Pacific Drive Let’s Play!

Have you ever wonder what would happen if you mixed Sunautica with Stalker, then added a dash of Death Stranding? Well, Pacific Drive aims to answer that burning question with style and aplomb!

Thanks to Keymailer and Ironwood Studios/Kepler Interactive for the game Key!

  1. It's funny how stressful it feels for me at times, when I explore the zone myself. But watching you do it, is almost tranquil. 🙂
Also I am very curious how you get through your first high instability zone 😀

  2. AH, FINALLY!

Thank you, Aavak, for bringing us back to the car. Not to say that I've been obsessed in any sense… I've loved your recent videos, even if they are of a mechanic of a very different type and journeys in different bizarre places and so on. But it is good to see the car again.

  3. I'm happy to be proven wrong when the outcome is of this magnitude, marvelous haul!
To my defense, I don't have the game so I'm basing my assessments on other videos and what I can notice in Aavak's coverage.
    Looking forwards to seeing more!
    OUR CAR GREAT!

  4. You know… I have 40 hours into the game and finished the story… that's the first I've seen of those Payloads. I've always assumed that they were just Corrupted Anchors because the one that spawned infront of me on the side of the road was a Corrupted Anchor that dropped from the sky. Never bothered to go to any of the other marks that appeared in the storm because getting Corrupted Anchors in Unstable Midzone locations was much more reliable.

  5. I would personally say that any time you can trade Gears (effectively scrap) for gas cylinders or chemicals, it's worth it. Scrap is excesively pleantiful and you would actively need to try to run out of it, gas cylinders and chemicals however, you can be happy to leave a zone with a handful considering you only ever find like 1-3 in very specific buildings.

  6. I’ve been a subscriber for a few years now and never knew that English wasn’t your first language. Granted that I’m an American and don’t know the history or culture of Wales. I always thought that they taught both languages in school similarly to Canada where they teach English and French. 39:04

  7. Thanks for the episode!

Also, conducting electricity is basically like the Uncanny Valley. If you barely conduct electricity at all, not enough current flows to cause damage. If you conducted electricity perfectly, then you would just shunt all the energy away and none of it would apply to you in a way that causes damage. Sadly, we humans conduct electricity well-ish, which results in enough current flowing to bring plenty of power in, but also means enough of it gets lost on the way through and turned into heat and muscle misfires that it tends to be mildly to thoroughly lethal by the point there are visible sparks and arcs.

  9. Well I don't know if there was more to the message that the Left-Right cut off, but I read the caption and it was someone saying they were in Sector 13 and that their transmitter was busted.

  10. Do the radio calls get recorded like the one from Francis and Tobias? They should be, we've been missing a lot of them by the radio getting turned off by the anomalies 😢

  11. I can understand risking it for the biscuit, but why then take the crumbs and leave the biscuit! I thought, surely this is an April Fools prank and he'll go back for the panel, but no! Unacceptable! /s. On a more serious note, would the electrical protection from the insulated headlights spread to the surrounding front bumper, hood and panels or do only panels/doors do that?
