These women were a major reason i started watching Giant Bomb… missing them hugely!

  2. Regarding Microsoft's survey, bogus or not, and we don't know all of the questions on that survey, right? But this is their way of saying we know playstation customers matter, even if it wasn't exclusive and gamepass had perks etc, you have to understand that playstation only users likely still have bitter feelings towards Microsoft. They would all still buy it on playstation just the same. Either way. The real question is does anyone really believe Microsoft would go exclusive with it? Thats a huge aquisition they didn't make it to lose money they are a business after all they are gonna do what makes them money. We know Microsoft's agenda isn't their hardware anymore.

  3. "There's always a lighthouse" was a commentary on the previous BioShock (and the industry at large) introducing choices that don't matter in the same way that BioShock 1 was a commentary on their previous work in System Shock 2. In the lore, more literally, it's explained as "constants and variables" between universes by the Luteces, but really it was admitting that no matter how much they wanted to make choices matter in video games, they never really do. Also some commentary about how video game sequels don't really have connective tissue outside of mechanics, as the super powers in BioShock Infinite were, in the story, literally ripped out of BioShock 1.

  4. I thought the bioshock infinite thing was actually linked with the idea that each game disc which looks like a portal if you think about it, is another player playing through that same story, and while different it always ends at the same point, a lighthouse. There is always a set point you must go…you always end at. You can make minor changes but your life is set. The only way to end it is to not play. Add to that, the idea that all the games involved this lighthouse aka a beacon, a point you go to for saftey, and it ends up not being. Your also given more clues but i wont go into it. I think people think its a dumb over complicated game and eye roll and say it's trash but the story isnt bad for those reasons. It was just rushed. I'm more surprised no review or critic ever brings up the racism plotline, but that could be due to most reviewers not being affected by it. Like how many books you read in school said the racial slur and kids still read it, but books that say someone is fat or something get banned. It just doesnt register for most, and those who it does take back, get ignored. The racism had a point in the game as well, but no review at release even brought it up for the most part. It's like not even subtle…Also i feel if a game tries to be complex or thoughtful people claim its overrought, but if its simple they claim its forgetable, and if it dark they claim it was hard to play, kiddy its childish, etc. Not sure how the devs make a game that people actually love story wise. Maybe elden ring has it right, personally dark souls 1-3 saga has an amazing story…but most think it has none and love it for that.

  5. I've been saying this about the next Nintendo console for a couple years now. Nvidia has their entire Tegra line going into the future announced with their specs and none of the newer SoCs would work for gaming. Putting the current Tegra into an AMD SoC would need a lot of power and also building the boards for that would be a challenge in that form factor. It's likely going to come down to building tools to port the games and giving them to devs and some won't do it or aren't even in business anymore.
