I love that the diver's name is (effectively) "Scuba Steve". Skoova is such a great character.
When you think about it, hiding on Tanelorr, a place beyond the abyss that isn't on the Empire's radar, could be the reason why Cal isn't around during the original trilogy (Ep. 4-6). Imagine if he trained Force-sensitive children there in secret all while thinking he is the only Jedi left.
Oh and don't forget you could talk to the stormtroopers behind the green ray shield (41:10). Perhaps there's some clue in their dialogue that helps lift the barrier? I honestly don't know.
