Getting Brainwashed in Terra Invicta (Servants/Brutal) E2

So despite being willing to fight to hand the earth over to the Hydra, the fact remains that we haven’t actually talked to them yet and know nothing about them other than the fact they tend to abduct and mind control people.

Now, Judith is pretty jelous of the people that are being abducted and drowned in Pherocytes, so in this episode she decides that the correct approach is to go give that a go herself by walking up to a hydra and breathing deeply of those sweet sweet mind controlling substances.

The Servants everyone, take a bow.

  1. "Hey guys, Cash Bland here coming at you from Russia with a new vid where I go to talk to an actual alien. Make sure you smash that like and subscribe buttons."

Later: "Hey guys, Cash Bland here. We're just 2,000 abs away from our goal of setting up an alien enthrallment center in Pakistan. So get out there and get your asses abducted, what are you waiting for? Make sure you like and subscribe."

  2. it is very entertaining how you carry your morals to the game. It is a game. It shows that it is very successful, that it pulls so much emotion out of you. The issue I have after watching all this is when you finally really understand the game the replay value is pretty thin.

  3. Perhaps an early suggestion, since this series is still young, but next series perhaps you could go for that one achievement, wherein the Servants/Protectorate win, and then you, as the Resistance/Humanity First manage to overcome them, and win.

  4. I love how Judith Howell, a cult leader who has been connected to at least one mass suicide, can literally smell the psychological vulnerability on the Hydra. And making humanity, with her at its head, the priest-philosopher caste of the Hydra empire is actually a pretty good deal for someone into ruling from the throne's shadows.

  5. I don't hate Judith. I mean she doesn't explain herself well, but there isn't a coherent idea from day one that humanity can really resist the aliens. Judith has no idea just how quickly technology would develop or Humanity would unify in something like a Humanity First playthrough. The Aliens, at any point, can utterly destroy earth losing very little, so it's not inconceivable that her viewpoint might develop. I'd like to see more of the protectorate.

  6. You can review the total number of abductions on the Region tab; it helps figure out which regions are targeted by the AI and help them along because Servants are awesome.

  7. In this episode of Perun Invicta, First Contact! Mind Control! Alien Linguistics? And All-Out Alien Simping Nullified Mind Control?

Seriously, this has been a eritdly enjoyable playthrough with some spicy snarky commentary from Perun? Chef's kiss

  8. I'm hoping Perun will go with an Exodus playthrough next. Seems the logical next step after HF, the Academy, and the Servants. After the Anti-Alien, Neutral and Pro-Alien factions, just go with the guys who are just, "F this crap, I'm out!"

  9. @10:00 My only rational interpretation is that the Hydra can crush some minds to oblivion and leave others intact, and the agent, recognizing that someone like Judith is independently useful, choose not to overload her. Maybe.

Or this is just all a fever dream. I like that one too.

  10. The thing I thought about with the pheromones and mind control is an interesting aspect to a philosophy of the servants.

So you can't really be brainwashed if you like the aliens right? So if you think the aliens are going to win, the best way to preserve the human species is to *convince people to like the aliens*.

  11. Your disdain is incredibly amusing to watch. I loved my Servants playthrough (although I found the ending to be underwhelming considering the buildup in story up until that point) and it's incredibly funny watching essentially Humanity First be mind controlled into letting the aliens win :p
