I remember the first days of boot camp in the US Army we given a class on it's history. The instructor told us we'd be learning drill movements that were directly descended from Von Steuben's 'Blue Book' of simplified drill movements. We were also told our drill sergeants were descendants of Von Steuben's 'Model Company' in that they were the best sergeants from various units that on top of regular duties had to spend extra time with Von Steuben's instruction, all while cold and starving which made them infamously short-tempered and gruff when they returned to their units to train them.
You could call 🤙 the Adams family the first family in the American 🇺🇸 Revolution.
Great 👍 experts in every episode of this series.
Who was in command of the Green 🍏 Mountain 🌄 Boys?
Iam a descendent of General Sinclair
biden and harris should watch this channel.
The Lee and Gates characters appear to be wearing poodles on their heads. It amazes me that recent documentaries are still using mediocre (or even bad) costuming and grooming. There's no excuse for it.
Washington probably wasn't an especially good general. But he was smart enough to seek help from people who had the skills.
Big George was the man I'd follow him anywhere hes the father of America.
I dont care what the true background of the baron was he got the job done and is a hero in America history.
Green was not you're average Quaker he was intelligent, cunning aswell as tough he knew how to get things done.
Jones was a man among men a very ambitious and capable individual.
Big George was one of the boys through and through that's why they gave him all they had in battle.
Despit America being a laughable upstart country by so many it is more than obvious great men, their beliefs and absolute willingness to engage, and if need be sacrifice all for the bigger cause of "WE THE PEOPLE" was simply overlooked and well the rest is history. Thank God for our forefathers who had balls.
I always found it so very hypocritical of 'Congress' to question Washington's efforts/skills (even if he did make mistakes), much less the SOLDIERS fighting for America's Independence, considering how terrible 'Congress' was in supplying and PAYING THEM in the first place! Some things never change: the fat cats sitting way in the rear echelon, in relative comfort, while the ones doing the hard work and dying are left without. Rome fell in much the same manner.
I'm blessed for all those great patriots and the reason I'm a proud American today I thank them all I like to think they r all smiling down on how our country turned out cuz of wat they started in the late 1700s and still going strong in the new yr of 2023 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Have this shown in School class rooms followed up with text books. 📚
I was glad to be able to hear about John Paul Jones’ story in this episode I’ve heard the name and that he was an important historical figure in the navy and there are ships named after him but I never knew what he actually did. The way he pillaged English shores reminded me of Ragnar from Vikings! I’m sure he was a fierce warrior hearing how he decided to take on the British mainland all by himself and was the first to win a naval engagement for the newly formed American Navy
G Washington was the real O.G for real lol.proud to be a American and a decedent of one of these brave men!
I bought these Light socket cameras and found them to be impossible to get them to work ! I had purchased them on Amazon so I had no Problem returning them and I got a much better price !
all of my pay would have gone to vd treatment if i had to pay for treatment when i was in the army.
that letter sounded like Sarah was banging the mailman.
Immediately upon being made commander of the army, the first advice George got was to never, under any circumstance, winter at Valley Forge. It was his first winter camp. It almost broke the army. In the diaries of the troops it describes a valley stripped bare of every green leaf and trees stripped of bark. Leaves, grass, bark. The food of the army at Valley Forge. They stripped the valley bare.
There is definitely a slant towards liberalism in this presentation. Taking some of the truth to make your point. I am unsubscribing from this channel after being subscribed for just a few days. Very disappointed in the presentation of the revolution, a revolution to free people, not enslave them.
Only if we had these kind of people around today.
Prussian Captain? It does'nt matter to a Leader in Desperation, "Baron"Von Steuben, was the First Drill Sgt. In the American Army! He brought Discipline, and Espirit De Corps, to raw men! He made an Army!
I always thought Chris Farley would make a great John Adams.
I wrote a song called "We all sing praises to da kitty "
I think it should be the national anthem
My life is completely gone stupid but I still sing praises to the kitty
These have been on since 5am. I haven't paid attention at all
