  1. 1:22:02 I speak a bit of German so heres a translator for y'all:
    Bitte; please
Ich will nicht so sterben; I don't want to die like this
Nein; no (I feel a lot of people know that one)
    Es kommt; its coming
ich weiss nichts; I don't know (the 2 S' in "weiss" actually make a different letter in german but its the same as 2 s')
    Hilf Mir; Help me
Lass ess zu; let it happen
Gott in himmel; God in heaven
sicher hier in meinem Kafig; im safe here in my cage
Lass mich in Ruhe; leave me alone
if there are any other lines I missed let me know

  2. The POW is basically just pleading for his life and tellingnyou its comming

As well as some things like

    "I dont know anything"
    "Keep it shut"
    "Safe here, in my cage.."
    "ITS COMMING!"
"OH GOD, PLEASE KEEP IT SHUT"
List goes on but you know the drill, some poor soldier scared to all hell for his life.

  3. I played half of this game with the generator off, 'cause I grew up playing Splinter Cell games and took that stealth mentality all the way into adulthood.

Simply put, when I got scared I just told myself. "I own the dark, not the monster."

After going splinter cell mode and embracing the dark, the game got a lot smoother and less scary. Well…for me anyway.

Good game, very well made, 10/10.

  4. spoilers for anyone but I can’t imagine it would be

You can save the prisoner by quickly getting the bolt cutters and running back to the panel. But for me I had to shoot the monster and ran to it. But I did it and got a Achievement for it

Love games that do these kinda things

  5. That opening section in the trenches of the First World War felt so visceral. So real. I legitimately felt more fear in the first opening moments than the entire rest of the game. World War I was such a truly terrifying conflict that I fear every moment I get a look into the trenches. The War was a tragedy too. Millions died on both sides just for the imperialist views of their respective nations. Not a single nation in the War fought for just their freedom. They all had alterior motives.

I want to share a part of the war that legitimately depresses me every time I mention it. They're better known as the Pals Battalions. In the UK, during the War, to increase the number of Army volunteers, they guaranteed that if men from the same town signed up alongside each other, they'd get to serve in the same battalion. Fathers, Brothers, Friends. All signed up. People who had known each other their entire lives would get what they wanted: Serving alongside those they knew.
But you know where this is going. They were given only the most basic of training. Then they were shipped to the frontlines to support offensives like Passchendale and the Somme. Entire towns were widowed overnight. Some battalions were wiped out entirely. If you were lucky to survive, you'd watch everyone else you knew die beside you. Their lifeless eyes staring you in the face as they bleed into the mud. Watching as their skin goes gray and cold. It could be your father. Your brother. Your lifelong friend. Occasionally even your lover. Some would rather be lying there dead with those they knew.

Up to 448,000 would die at Passchendale for just 6 miles of land.

420,000 perished at the Somme for the Frontline to barely change.

Many of the dead were from the Pals Battalions.

A general once said: "The Death of One Man is a tragedy. The death of a million is a statistic." I don't think that could be any further from the truth. I think, for most of us, it's simply such a large loss of life that it's immeasurable in our minds. We can't feel for them because we simply can't comprehend it.

To me the First World War is not just a war. It's a symbol of the brutality of human instinct. It's a symbol of the evil of classic imperialism. It's a tragic story of regret, fear, and promises that were broken or simply could not be kept.

But most of all, to me, it's a reminder that we should've never let something that horrible happen again. But we have. Three additional times. We allowed the Nazis to come to power. We allowed the Soviets to grow out of control. We allowed the crisis in Ukraine to boil over. It's happening all over again. The trenches. The towns simply wiped off the map. The flattened villages. The landscapes from hell. We let it happen. We're making up for our mistakes and have been doing so, but it never should've been allowed to happen in the first place.

So I want to end my monologue on a good note: Donate. Give what you can, be it little or large. Give it to the people of Ukraine. Give it to those trying to help innocents in the nation. If you can't give material goods, give them your voice. Let them know they don't stand alone. Let them know that they're welcome to come to us for safety.

Only together as a species can we bring tyranny to an end. Just a single voice can unite millions. We can stop this from happening again, together.
