  1. tremendously amused how every match of this game plays out like a 3025 level 1 rules match

with barely functional zombie mechs trying to slowly kick each other to death by the end

  2. in essence. this would also make a good halo. considering how the halo ships work. because. they work the exact same with thrusters. missile systems and in the books they use the exact same systems as the expanse. only much slower.

  3. The game needs a "first person / bridge mode" …

With the artillery turrets the game clearly needs a "Space Battleship Yamato" (and other such "familiar designs").

  4. Best part about fighting really competent opfors is now you know what's possible. That was a spanking to the point of enlightenment. No one will ever remember but there will always be that creeping subconscious fear.

  5. There was CERTAINLY a 'sensor Boat' out there. Likely a Stealthy 'fast-mover' or just Stealth EW platform. ya' should look into this. Also, WOULD HAVE HELPED if Tex's BB had at least ONE Flak-cruiser detatched to it! 😉 ..To speak of WW2 Fleet Tactics, eh! 🙂 Gosh, wish I was a Rear Admiral running the CiC in this op.

  6. I love that there's a priest who watches your content, geeks out with you about battletech, and engages with you in discussions about religion in BT. One of my priest friends is a movie buff, and whenever we grab lunch we end up chatting about nerd stuff, and people always look at him weird because they don't expect priests to be, you know, real people with hobbies.

  7. Hey Tex, new subscriber here. I love the videos and your battletech videos. I'm slowly making the transition from 40K to Battletech and im so thankful for channels like your that make the subject matter interesting and funny. Keep it up tex, and thank you for the amazing videos.
Also I hadn't heard of this game till I watched this video, I ended up buying it and it's really fun

  8. 667 is the neighbor of the beast; across the street. Broom Street Theatre (Madison, WI) did a play about it. It was hysterical. It was about a gay couple w/kids that moved into a white bread community. The fallout, the hilarity, backstabbing, pettiness and goodness that comes from a "f"-ing boulder being thrown into the pond as it were.

  9. it's a hell of a game. and seeing how effective use of elint jamming and how radar works truly goes to show the actual experience one of the current serving developers has transfered wonderfully into this.

also I hope you are well Tex, glad to see you cover this

"…umm I can be seen [by] something, I'm tracked on two ships-"
"I hate to say this, but ahh…music just changed."
    "Incoming from above."
"Incoming from above?! Oh! Excellent! Fantastic! This is not good."

    Best moment in streaming history.

  11. So when you read about Homeworld 2 you read about all these cool little game mechanics they wanted that either didn't make it in or were watered down. For instance, the subsystem mechanic was supposed to be more expansive than a couple of little boxes that show up on the hull and now you can build frigates etc.

Also as I understand it the developer has some real-world naval experience so I feel like the game is that experience crossed with that envisioned Homeworld 2, sort of like if someone had made roguetech or longwar for homeworld.

Gotta admit, if the devs ever make ramming into a primary concept like the Star Wars Hammerhead, making a hulking juggernaut designed specifically to ram things and calling it “The Big Bonk” would be a crisis-inducing crossroads of adorable, hilarious, and terrifying.
