General James A Van Fleet State Trail: Cycling the 29-Mile Rail Trail from Mabel to Polk City, FL

Join me as Jaydog Outdoors puts wheels down on my first Florida Rail Trail starting at the Northern end in Mabel.

I’m on my Giant Revolt again but this time it’s paved road all the way featuring swamps, wide open skies, and some Florida wildlife sightings! The unfamiliar landscape unfolds in front of me on a trail that had very few street crossings and a low human count as well so allows for higher speed and steadier pace if you’re looking for that type of ride. Bring plenty of water and snacks because this one seemed quite desolate in places.

Watch the ride unfold from beginning to end or jump around using the scene selection below. Either way, I think you’ll find that this trail is one to add to your list of “to do” rides, walks, or runs.

Thanks for watching!

Please SUBSCRIBE to see more of these small adventures on the bike as they become available.
