ABOUT GATEWAY CHURCH:
Gateway Church is a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church founded in 2000 by Pastor Robert Morris. Today we meet as one church in many locations with more than 100,000 people attending each weekend.

At Gateway, we’re all about people.
We’re all about people because God is all about people. One of the ways we express our love for Him is through our love for people, and we do this by helping people who come to Gateway grow in their relationship with the Lord.

  1. Friend, train your mind to keep this world in perspective.

If you have Christ, you have all. It doesn’t matter what an uncertain future brings.

If you have the world but lose your soul, you have nothing. It doesn’t matter how big your barns or what you have stored in them for a few brief years here.

Yes, my friends. The things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. May my gracious God make that plain to your heart.

    27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
30 I and the Father are one." (John 10:27-30)

  2. Scripture overwhelmingly attests that the Christian’s defining life priority is the glory of God.

It states this in so many different ways:

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

“And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' This is the great and foremost commandment” (Matthew 22:37-38).

“Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He *said to him, "Follow Me!" (John 21:19).

“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen” (Romans 11:36).

“For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body” (1 Corinthians 6:20).

“Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).

“Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father” (Colossians 3:17).

Many other such themes could be found in a rather casual reading of Scripture.

It is absolutely comprehensive, covering every detail and circumstance of life.

The glory of God could be the only aspiration of the one who understands he was a helpless sinner now redeemed and saved by the gracious initiative and shed blood of Christ.

    Gratitude compels the response.

The glory of God spurs him on in the sometimes discouraging battle for sanctification.

The glory of God will be his theme throughout all eternity.

What the pursuit of the glory of God is will differ for the young person choosing career options, the stay-at-home mom caring for her family, the pastor persevering in ministry when external results seem meager, or the aging saint facing physical and mental decline, feeling useless, and wondering why the Lord doesn’t simply take him or her home.

But ultimately, the purpose is the same though the outward circumstances differ so greatly.

This is the life God has given to me.

How can I glorify Him here?

And with that thought, the humble saint turns alone to the Word of God for the direction he needs, blessed by the indwelling Holy Spirit who can help him do just that.

    Soli Deo Gloria.

  3. Can I just say I shy away from girl preaching lol. But…I've been hurting so much and God lead me directly to this. I listen to a lot of dynamic holy spirit preachers including your dad:). But that was just what I needed and probably one of the most important messages I have heard to date. Thank you so much heavenly father!!

  4. I'm always surprised to see a woman teaching at gateway church , because Paul the apostle emphatically said in 1st Corinthians and in 1st Timothy that women should not be teaching in the church. But I guess we live in a time where we can pick and choose which scriptures we follow.
