  1. The Halloween Franchise is my favorite horror franchise but I absolutely hate just about everything Blumhouse did with franchise. These scripts are so mediocre and filled with holes. I think they think theyā€™re making elevated horror but these movies all give fanmade amateur to me

  2. To be fair Jermey is a little kid I don't expect him to a completely innocent. I also felt that cop was way too old for Alyson. Marching Band as bullies just dumb! Should've just used Jocks and make them bigger than Corey

  3. Great Video Zach , i think the pumkins changing shape in the titles represents how evil constantly changes shape and it's a neverending cycle . Only reason i say that is due to the line " Evil doesn't die , it just changes shape " from the film .

  4. I think you're reading too much into the first interaction of Michael and Corey. I think Michael just sensed something within Corey similar to himself. It was just presented in a strange way in the movie. We do it all the time in real life when meeting new people, you get a sense of them. Michael is also weakened and probably, since he senses something in Corey, knows he can use him to help him kill. Michael has let people live before, so it's not unusual.

  5. I think the face in the sewer/cave is an imprint of Michaelā€™s mask. Caveā€™s are wet and that makes the rocks soft? He had been lying dormant in that cave for four years, barely moving. His mask left an imprint.

  6. I should have noticed there were four writers. It explains a lot. In a way, it was like watching several movies braided /spliced together. The first story is a lifetime movie of the week story of recovery. Laurie and Allison living life after the trauma Michael caused. Which was the only one that actually came to a true conclusion. The second story is an origin story of a shiny new serial killer with Corey. The third is going back to the concept that Michael is under a supernatural curse and was looking for someone to pass it on to, which culminates with the destruction of Michael and should have ended with Corey getting up and walking out of the house while the town is focused on the utter obliteration of Michael's body. The king is dead, long live the king. The movie seemed to have multiple personalities. I did not feel as though it was a good conclusion to the trilogy as it was thematically completely different. I didn't hate the film. I enjoyed it during the initial watching even in spite of the random plot changes. My second viewing was not as enjoyable.

  7. Iā€™m excited you made this!!!

To add a comment, a few things I wish were different with Ends.
    Still contemplating a second watch.

    1. More Michael

    2. More Lindsey – I didnā€™t even see her with the townspeople at the junk yard.

    3. Likable Characters – In slashers, one of the things I like about the characters is that most times youā€™re rooting for them. Or have some sadness when theyā€™re killed, etc.
The characters who were killed in this movie were straight *ssholes. Like, I was kinda glad they were killed. Lol.
    You know?

  8. I know you didn't mean anything by it, but just so you're aware, that's not how trauma and recovery work. The therapy she would have done after 2018 would help her deal with all the old and new trauma and lingering effects (from 1978 in particular). Her trauma from 1978 was so pervasive and long lasting because she never tried to get help previously or never stuck with therapy (I don't think it's ever stated, just implied). With the loss of Karen and newfound custody of Allyson, Laurie probably felt motivated to finally get help. Also, with her past custody issues with Karen, the county might have mandated that she go to therapy before she could take custody of Laurie. Either way her commitment to it is why we see her less paranoid and more reminiscent of Laurie pre-Michael.

  9. A new character is introduced that isn't slightly interesting and you don't care about him at all. Allyson falls in love with a weirdo who likes to kill people, proving that she's pretty dumb.

The dialogue is not good and the movie is unintentionally funny at times. Michael Myers is barely in the movie and apparently he now wants to go on co-op kill missions with a random dude, after he lets him live. Then he gets beat up by that dude. Said "dude" gets bullied by the lamest and most one dimensional "band geek" characters.

There are way too many scenes of Corey and Allyson just riding around on a motorcycle. The new character they introduce ends up killing himself, which is actually hilarious and makes 0 sense. "Lets introduce a brand new character in the third film of our trilogy and have him kill himself an hour into the movie. That'll be awesome!!" – David Gordon Green

You remember that end fight scene between Laurie and Michael that you saw in the trailer? Well if that's all you wanted to see in this movie, then just rewatch that trailer because that's literally all the last scene is. Oh and Allyson has some cringe-inducing dialogue at the end where she breaks Michael's arm and says to Laurie "I'm not gonna let this happen to you". Lmao ok.

Then the whole town goes and throws Michael Myers into a giant grinder to show that he's REALLY dead. Even though this IP Will be drudged back up in a few years.

A laughably bad movie that somehow managed to make Kills look much better than it actually it was. 1/10.

  11. This of this movie as Freddy vs Jason. Freddy had Jason Kill so Freddy could regain his power. Think of Michael as Freddy and Corey as Jason. Corey got some residual power from being the actual person people were fearing, but Michael benefitted more because it was his persona who they were fearing.

  12. The scene you mentioned about Michael being on the motor bike. When my niece and I watched it thatā€™s exactly what we thought was happening. We bust out laughing thinking there is no way they actually did that.

  13. its talked about for H4 and frowned upon now becuase Corey as a character hasn't earned it yet. Jamie went thru so much as a CHILD, being blood related – it makes more sense even tho its all batsh-t no matter what haha – corey will be looked at as the character that killed michael myers even tho thats not what happened and im sure the actor will have that stink just like his character corey did after the accident with the kid. Good luck my dood. lol

  14. Debā€™s kill was also a reference to the 1st kill in Suspiria. When the blood is dropping to the floor. And Corey hitting the piano had to be a reference to Peter doing that in Black Christmas.

  15. I honestly think this film should have been 2 parts. Like have the first one be about Corey becoming a killer but they should have done it differently. He shouldnā€™t have found Michael. Corey should have just become more and more on the verge of becoming evil and we would see Corey become like obsessed with Michael and find a mask (if Michael got that mask Iā€™m sure it was probably mask produced and sold in many other places). Now we would see Michael finally going out that same night and stalking and killing people so he can become that strong and powerful like he was in kills. Basically more of a kill count in both parts. And the final shot should show that Corey is fully evil and finally becoming the killer the town turned him into. And tue second part should focus on his massacre and Michael coming across Corey. Then they both fight because Michael shows no empathy for anyone. We see Michael over power Corey and take him down. I would maybe have another mob like fight in this film cause the entire town want him dead. So it would seem more believable than in kills. The Michael would of course take them down and Then we see the final fight between Laurie and Michael, and Alison will fight off against Michael. So I would keep the same way Michael die but it would be more better because of the situation that lead up to that. Thereā€™s too much to put into just one film.

  16. Michael definitely did something to Corey intentionally, but I hate how Corey isn't afraid of him. I'm guessing he isn't afraid of Michael because he has some of the evil he transferred into him. Michael should be feared.

  17. Another thing is the montage of Corey killing his bullies was done terribly, it was way too fast. It should have been a good 5 – 10 minutes of some good killing, even In Christine the deaths aren't that quick.

  18. Halloween Ends mask grab scene was worst than H Res Drop Kick! Why? Because it was established early in H8 that Freddie was a fan of Karate. Alsoā€¦ Busta is a physically fit (dare I say) buff individual in real life. He has a song called ā€œDangerousā€. I feel it fits his persona. And! He got his but handed to him by MYERS and got one lucky hit in on the shape. Where Corey gets punked for his chocolate milk money by band geeks and would not stand a chance against MYERS. Alsoā€¦ MYERS at end of Kills was as strong as any Rob Zombie Tyler Mane Michael after playing possum and slaughtering an entire mob + Laurieā€™s daughter.
