Another land marks Theosophical Society, IIT and many more missed out. Time is too short to elaborate more. Kudos to you Sriram to bring the best picture of Chennai in a nut shell. Your narration is mesmerising.. 😊
Shree Sriram VenkataKrishnan you are wrong with your information regarding #Royapuram is the oldest railway station building the first platform Building of #Thane then #Tannah is the oldest dated #1853CE. Kindly correct your hyping regarding "#ALL_HAPPENED_FIRST_IN_MADRAS"
Great Mr. Sriram.
Fascinating and very nice of you on how you are explaining the content very interesting.
I’m a proud Chennaiite but after listening to your lecture, I can affirm that I’m a prouder Madrasi! Contrary to the stereotypes associated with ‘Madrasi’, this was an eye opener for me to understand the rich history of namma Madras/Chennai. ❤
Sir hats off to you.
Madras was founded by The DMK , he missed this important point.
Royapuram railway station (station code: RPM) is a railway station at Royapuram, on the Chennai Beach–Walajapet section of the Chennai Suburban Railway network in Chennai, India. It is the second oldest railway station currently operational in India after Howrah railway station situated in Howrah, West Bengal (the original structures of the two older stations, Bombay and Thane, are no longer operational) and the first railway station of South India. The first train of South India started operating in June 1856 from Royapuram railway station. The station also remained the headquarters of the Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway till 1922, when the headquarters was shifted to Egmore. Since the original structures of Bombay and Thane stations no longer exist, Royapuram station remains the oldest railway station in the entire subcontinent.
Why is St Thomas is referred as a "LEGEND" even after so much of evidence available in the city?
