  1. Hey Retromation!

Community manager for Mori Carta here to thank you for this awesome video! We really appreciate you covering our game!

We also hear your feedback. We agree with your concerns about things like the UI, audio and general polish. We will be hard at work to raise the level of those things in the game.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video. ^_^

    Best,

  2. This game has HUGE potential. Slay the Spire has kind of monopolized the roguelike deck builder genre and most games I've seen look like cheap clones or overly convoluted attempts to make the genre more "complex" (ie you have to spend a half hour just to read a card text). This seems elegant and simple but has a lot of possibilities for interesting enemies and fights.

Your build was super OP but I'm hoping there are enemies out there who can sap your mana, or punish you for going too much in one direction. And wondering what the other companions add to the game. Also the fact that you are rewarded for adding cards to your deck is a novel idea since every card game since the history of forever has been "get OP combo, remove the rest of the deck so it's easier to find OP combo."

Anyway would love to see more of this game, if they can tidy up the UI elements and flesh out the game it could be a great candidate for a replayable deck builder.

  3. You got in the grove of swiping right as a "next/continue" button without taking a note of what swipping left would do in between games. Am curious if you have the option to pass on fighting some bosses as well as saying no to taking the Fool's card (and other companions) by swiping left on them.

  4. I really really like the way that this is a way of turning this genre on its head. But I also really love the art, especially how the fool card evolves as the story evolves.

  5. Please, don't just say "The UI needs some help." That is phenomenally unhelpful criticism. What is it you don't like? What would make it better? How does it make you feel? How do you want it to work? What are you trying to do that isn't obvious how to? What is your actual objection?

  6. The game is so fun!!! Obviously it needs some polish, but that's why it's in early access. The mechanics are cool and innovative
I'd love to see more videos!
