Pinned post for Q&A 🙂
Great again drach.
Thanks.
Well done again. Can you to take the wartime history of Capt. Walker to the end please, what a cliff hanger!
Can I just say 'Convolvulus' is the worst ship name ever.
Can I just say I'm almost crying for the poor Wild Swan. She and her crew did their duty to the highest order. They saved lives.
Hi,having watched parts one and two I am eagerly looking forward to the next episode, thank you,Cheers Roly 🇬🇧.
Walker & Fisher would have got on like a house on fire I think 😉
You have a great narrative talent and I look forward to the next Johnnie Walker episode. Many thanks for your work on this.
I love this series. Can’t wait for the next episode. Always a treat to find characters that helped shaped the course of history.
I'm really enjoying this series! Most excellent! Thank you very much!
Thank you, keep working.
Great story told by a great storyteller. Waiting for Ep3.
Great Content yet again !!! Very appreciated. Watching Drach' videos is always a "Sanity break" in this crazed world. Best Regards from Alaska!
Captain Walker was, at the time, the latest in a very long and magnificent line of Royal Navy sailors protecting British interests, British traditions and British democracy. He deserved many more medals than he was ever awarded, and sadly died too early in the service of his country.
Drach, it makes you so proud to watch what walker achieved ( and what Britain achieved ) he has a statue on the front at Liverpool, my father who was R.A , told me the rumour was he could smell out the German U boats.
Where's Part 3 ??? My MiL is visiting and I'm "working" in the Den. Please help.
Have you thought about doing a PhD by publication? As I understand it you already have original research published.
A PhD by publication usually takes a year to do. You basically write an extended introduction to tie your papers together. I know the University of Portsmouth does an MA in Naval History, maybe they’d be willing to supervise a PhD by publication?
I read the book on walker rn back in the seventies in middle school
oh you tease!
Excellent! More please, soon.
Suddenly a wild swan appears! All the Germans receive on their enigma machines after is, "your attack is super ineffective."
Frederic Johnny Walker was the man. He was the bane of U-boats
Great episodes on Johnie Walker. My step father served on Stork under JW. He was later torpedoed on Stork and was disabled out of the RN. So proud of him. Thank you for the insights in to JW whom ultimately paid the price for his ambition, leadership, and focus. Where would we be without hero’s like JW
My father served on the Stork as a signalman. He described Walker as having a visceral hatred of the Nazis. He also thought he was a lunatic in the methods he employed to hunt subs!
Fantastic telling of a Glorious History!🔥😎
Curse you, creator of cliffhangers! 🙃
What a badass. No wonder they named a blended scotch whistky after him.
