  5. Hard to believe but up to 50 million years ago this was all under the Pacific Ocean. Any remnants of volcanoes seen are
    all 50 million years old or younger. That's post dinosaur times. The eroded volcanoes you are wanting to see are on Artist's Palette Road, a one way counter clockwise drive into the mountains and back to the road you were first on, Badwater Rd.
    Very colorful rock formations all up in those particular mountains. Thanks for taking us along for the ride Jenni!
