  1. One of the events gives points for spending “rare skill points”. I don’t see rare skill points anywhere. The skill points for Kirk, Spock, Locutus that come from refining uncommon skill points don’t seem to be “rare”

  2. Scopes really needs to implement a research tree reset mechanic like World of Warcraft build trees. Fecked up on first selectable when didn't realise that one cannot unlock all of the options (just clicked parsteel storage as first icon and only subsequently understood that I cannot unlock the dil & trit storage ones).

  3. It doesn't matter how good the new content is or isn't. I simply don't have time to do any more in this game. 5 different types of armadas, and I have to do them all to keep progressing. Grinding: 3 3* mats, 3 4* mats, antimatter, data, 3 different iso, 2 different lat, plundered cargo, swarms, venom, and now I have to go backwards and grind borg probes again. Scopely needs to retire the old stuff to free up time for the new stuff. what other MMO makes you keep doing all the newbie and intermediate grinds on top of the advanced grinds? Its too much.

  4. I chose Kirk purely for the ship xp boost, grinding ship xp for ships is so slow, especially for the G4 ships and miners, I'll take anything I can to help with that.
    For the most part the whole fleet commanders thing seems very much like you could skip it and not notice which I really like.

  5. I can tell you right off the bat, if you are a lower level (I'm 27), your going to be waiting a very long time to get much of anywhere. Unless of course you are related to j.l. gotrocks. I went with spock as mining/hostiles is something I do all day with dailies and every event. I went with all the help I could get in that area. lol.

  6. we did the same things kirk and the defense officers and impulse i thought the same thing warp speed meh lmfao! Oh and any future idea to reset or what not? >.< Ty for the video and LLAP Rev Deuce!

You mention that Spock is better for high level players for the efficiencies on building costs and what have you, but you won't be able to unlock those buildings until you're a high level player anyway. Regardless, I still like the mining boosts that Spock gives at my current (31) level and the hostile damage increase he gives as well is so noticeable even at my level

  8. I went with Kirk in the end, grinding is such a laborius operation so anything that can help with that is appreciated. Mining rates are not that key for me, since I just leave ships on nodes and wait to be sent home when I am OPC.

    Pain point on the Soloborg Armadas is the directives, which means I need to polish off the Vidar and do more grinding… Grr.

It really would have been nice to NOT be penalized for going through this when it was released… Exited the game and when I went back in LOCKED into a choice I didn't want to make… OPS 33 and selected Spock… gonna be a long grind to unlock Kirk. Maybe pass that "decide later" option up to the powers that be.

  11. Rev! The extra commander shards we get turn to dust. A usable currency. Do you realize what this means? Scopley built in a system to actively remove extra unusable content from inventory i stead of letting it pile up!

    Rev call Eco, call Bek. See if everything is OK at Scopley. They may need help. The stress may have broke them.

  12. Hello all, does anyone know if it's worthwhile grabbing the other fleet commander full unlock in the store, or will it be something that can be grinded out over not too much time? Or is the command center pack something ppl think is worthwhile instead?

  13. I was a bit confused. There was an event that granted points for spending the rare skill points. It says those are spent on FC research. But I couldn't find any such research, even having spent $ to upgrade my CC a decent amount. Am I just not seeing it, or do I have to do something special to make such research show up?
