In this video, I talk about all of Blood of the Dead’s problems when it comes to it’s main easter egg and then I propose some solutions to fix them. The problems include: the slamming brutus/warden step, the shield upgrade process, the black ops 4 grenade system, the bird spawn locations, and the New industries and powerhouse challenges. Bo4 is a hot trash game. Its mechanics are good for 1 to maybe 2 maps. This easter egg is easily one of if not the worst out of any ee
The way I would fix the bird step is not reducing the amount of spots but guaranteeing a general area, like the first bird will always appear in area A, the 2nd time it will be in area B, etc.
A good fix for the shield breaking is running a carpenter elixir. Fully repairs it so you dont have to pay. With that said….. you shouldn't need an elixir to have a good EE experience.
The EE of blood is fine. I don‘t think it has to be changed. I don‘t wanna come off like this but I cannot just let that fly. If you want the cool ending, you gotta work for it and adjust your playstyle for this map. It‘s not just gonna be given to you for free.
Using monkey bombs to solve all your problems isn‘t always gonna work. Of course they want you to switch back to the retriever if you have to cheat your way to do the EE earlier. Doing it on 17 gives you enough time to prepare for everything but that means you can get monkeys then. It all comes together when you think about it.
Bird step, it‘s more than 40 spawns actually. But you only really have to do it 3 times since the last one has limited locations bound to the requirement of a zombie blood. You also don‘t need a guide to find the spots, since the direction of where you can hear him is pretty clear. They squeak loud enough to hear them from a far distance, if you know a few spots, that‘s enough. Also more of a solo issue, this quest is more designed for 4 players anyways.
I did this EE over 25 times on solo and I only had issues the first 2 times I played it to plan my strategy to help other people do this egg. Now I‘m able to assist everyone to do it and show, that it‘s not that hard when you got a good, well thought out strategy.
I could go on but I‘ll stop here or I‘ll be here all day.
Imo one of the biggest issues with bo4 zombies is that you cant do ee offline so in the future if the servers go down we'll never be able to do it again.
To be honest, the only steps that I find need tweaks are the bird step which you can get really unlucky with or really lucky which creates too big of a range of time spent, and the simon says step which just needs a complete rework. Besides that, all the steps are really fun and simple (the morse code step is deceptively easy, just use winters wail, its literally twice as good as widows wine in the modifier, I dont understand how nobody knows this)
Sounds like a skill issue… Nah but for real Bloods egg is perfectly fine and if you wanted to make it more streamlined I would just make an item called spectral goggles that let you run around in spectal vision, also let shield charges carry over breaking, and make the time to absorb on the upgraded shield faster.
