  1. you three often question aslan and what his deal is. the final scene in the next film explains everything. take note of the religious factors embedded into this franchise, such as the continuous reference to humans as sons of adam and daughters of eve. cs lewis was a devout christian, and the story of narnia was heavily influenced by that

  2. One thing the movies don't convey but the books are all allegories of the bible and Aslan is God. So if you know that, a lot of what happens and how Aslan acts then make a whole lot of sense.

  3. I liked the movie quite a bit. But I know it was really, really expensive to make and it didn't make enough back. So it did get close to burying the franchise. Which was unfortunate. In the next one they lowered the budget and simplified the story a bit. It's a bummer they stopped making these, because it was a legitimately great franchise, or could have been. Still hoping someone picks it back up as a TV series or something? Disney Plus?

  4. Still gonna recommend A Silent Voice; I want to see how it grips these fellas, and the discussion afterward about the film's themes regarding communication, bullying, and self-resentment

  5. Narnia is straight up the bible. Aslan is supposed to be god, hence his wishy washy motives when it comes to helping people. Lol (in all seriousness though The author of the books I believe has said this story is influenced by Christianity)

  6. Nice! These movies aren't really my cup of tea, but I think you guys should have a look at cyberpunk:edgerujnners.
I think you should watch the dubbed version, though the anime purists will probably cry about it.

  7. Just a small correction for you. Prince Caspian is the Third Book in the Chronicles of Narnia but the second movie. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is book two and movie one. The First Book is called The Magicians Nephew.

  8. Both Lewis and Tolkien had a shared frustration with Shakespeare’s Macbeth, as there’s a passage that says “Macbeth shall never vanquished be, until Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinane hill Shall come against him” which hints that the trees will come alive and move – they were both frustrated that the trees didn’t actually come alive in battle but were only used as a disguise for the humans. So in retribution, Lewis had his trees come alive in Narnia and Tolkien created the Ents in LotR!

  9. your rating is high enough and great reaction btw!, the reason why susan and peter won't be returning is that they already learned to be independent…meaning what they are experiencing and learning in the real world, they can apply it in narnia and vice versa, remember they are still at war in the real world and they are living together without their parents… sometimes it takes some ups and downs to be able to move forward and learning from your mistakes… at least that is what i learned when i watched this during it's release…the third movie will be a good one i hope you like it!

  10. 6:27 I’m pretty sure some filming (like the first film) was done in NZ (eg. the beach scene). But I think most was done in Europe – mostly in Czech Republic. But also Prague, Poland and Slovenia.
