  1. If you refuse she continues to offer it until you take it. At some point you can't progress, though, as there are Torrent requirements for progression – or so I hear. I did not want to try that experiment, personally. This is consistent with when I rejected a visit to the roundtable hold, however, as it just added that option to the menu and she pestered me about it until I went.

  2. How do people press so hard into the stick like this? Are the xbox controllers that sensitive that even the slightest pressure triggers the stick button? That being said, loving these series so far Plague.

  3. I don't know if you've already come to this conclusion or not in your playthrough but you'll probably also want to consider putting points into mind once you're at a comfortable level on the base stats. You'll wind up using a lot of fp in the game due to the weapon arts being pretty useful and the summons who are also useful.

  4. Yeah I ended up not picking a starting gift. No gift reads, "No keepsake. The past has been well and truly left behind." Which I thought made sense for a Tarnished of no renown. He's about to leave his first mark on the world and such so I ran with it.

  5. Normally Plague I'd agree with you when you say to not listen to people who say "magic is good now" with each game….but magic is actually hilariously, disgustingly busted in Elden Ring if you go all in. In its current state, I will be amazed if FROMsoft doesn't nerf it into the ground because the sheer level of cheese it can currently perform is absurd. I have seen the Int/Dex builds in action, they turned the hardest bosses in the game into complete jokes.

  6. To be fair, the church in berserk is up to no good too, maybe thats why the constant background lore of these games is always "look at the depravity the main religion is up to"

  7. There is an item later in the game that allows you to give any non special weapon occult scaling and there's a way to redo stats so you can totally swap to arcane later if you still want to.

  8. The glowing eyes for increased ruins drop feature is nice, later in the game when your average enemy is worth 1-2K its WELL worth it to actually kill them. I have a few instances where 2 gold-eyed enemies spawned and it turns about a 2.5K combined drop into well over 10K.

  9. Those giant crows give me the pteranodon death glare from Jurassic Park 3 vibe, to which I greatly enjoy menacing looking bird monsters. Caelid is easily my favorite area because it's just Miyazaki's poison swamp dailed up to 11

  10. I don't know the lore, and it might just be literal shit, but the fact that the shit remains the same could come from the fact that it's gold tinted, like everything that's gold is supposed to last forever, at least before whatever cataclysm happened in this world

  11. Pretty sure the description for the Nascent Butterfly means that it died while emerging from its cocoon. While the name Nascent Butterfly is a pun on the fact that it is now dead, as Nascent means having future potential.

  13. Kalé's instrument I first thought was the very strange instrument called a Dingdong (No joke. Its name is much more funny in Danish). Later I realized it was not a Dingdong sadly…

  14. I already deleted bonfires from my brain and replaced it with grace. same for runes. probably cause ive already spent more time on this game than all the other souls games combined. Just at about 80 hours now.

  15. I don't mean to be rude, but are the unrelated tangents/ramblings, constant distractions, and disjointed reiteration going to be a regular thing?

Because I don't know that I can deal with it. And again I don't mean to be rude, but I feel it important to point out it took you like 5 attempts to form a cohesive sentence when talking about a technical issue regarding video files.

I get it if this is going to be one of those therapeutic cathartic free flow of thoughts brain vomit situations (no judgement, I do it when alone), but I can't listen to someone else do it. Sorry.

  16. I am glad you can just go get Lucy. I feel like all of ds1's weapons have at least one person in the world who it is their favorite. I am happy all the nothing special weapons are in every souls game. When I met warmaster and saw he had the The Bass Cannon I had to look up where it was cuz killing him in cold blood didn't drop it >3> (just does not feel like a new age darksouls game without failing to hit the boss cuz of slow attack animations and never having enough carry weight because you arn't using a dex weapon)
Sadly it is the bad poky one from 3 and not the pancake move set from 1 but I am happy it is just here using war cry ash art temporarily makes it sorta a slam move on heavy attack so that is neat wish it lasted longer then a fart

  17. Correct me someone if I'm wrong, my understanding is that the Tarnished were a descendant of a group of people that were not blessed by the Elden Ring.
I don't really remember where I learned this

  18. By the way Plague, I can't get the game to run on my computer so I'm sitting waiting for Patches and Optimization. The only play through I'm watching is yours because I don't want to get spoilers. Let's see if the game gets fixed before you spoil it.
