I am not a Snoop fan and everything you say is right. The one thing he did get right is Wal-Mart like all companies have a mark up on all stuff. I work for the company that makes Nabisco products. We are vendors. Walmart has their own brand (Great Value). They will always make sure their brand is the cheapest.
Companies/Vendors lease the space on the shelves so (Grocery stores/ Walmart) make money off that then they mark the product up as well and as for my company. We come work the Trucks and put all the products out 3 times a week. Customers come by and will say "Your product is to high and then buy the Great Value brand and I do understand why. However what they don't understand is there is a mark up on that product. Usually 24 to over 50% depending in the products. That's all the products they sell. The managers in these stores and most of the workers treat Vendors like crap. It's always a do as I say, not as I do game with them. The orders are locked in meaning all we can do is add to a Walmart order- we can't reduce a qty. Then when it all comes in they fuss at us over back stock. They have enough back stock on all their stuff to fill the store ar least one time- all in the back. Shelves be empty and it's up on the riser or in the back – they complain that we aren't keeping our products full. I work at Brookshiers,
at Albertsons Stores and Kroger stores and Target stores. All vendors that I speak to of all stores dread working Walmart stores. Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians.
Sorry for the rant Casey. I just deal with it daily.
