These Southern California firefighters are heroes. But this time, it wasn’t for fighting fires. It was for saving this little baby owl. Firefighters from Station 84 in Woodland Hills say a homeowner called after it fell out of the nest of his roof. Since the rescue, the homeowner has been doing whatever he can to ensure the owls are comfortable. Fire Captain Adam VanGerpen spoke with Inside Edition’s Andrea Swindall about the rescue.

This may seem like the best thing to do but it’s not leave the bird so the mother gets it. The only reason the mom didn’t get it is because there was a person near the baby and the mom was scared of that person.
Sometimes the mother will kick out the weakest or smallest chick out of the nest to give the other stronger chick's a better chance.
