  1. Now it’s in primer the hood bulge integrates nicely into the body lines. Revisiting and perfecting this element really made the difference. The attention to detail is impeccable. The channel really needs to be called professionally home build. Can’t wait to see it with a lick of paint. πŸ€

  2. Can expect some comments about the body filler but remember from the Boyd Coddington TV custom show 20yrs ago they had a full skim on all their panels for the quality finish πŸ‘

  4. Aaah thanks for the videos Jeff, as once the paint goes on, reassembling the car will be really interesting as the car won't be coming apart again any time soon like Harry or the Roxster! I hope!

  5. Mrs. J, Jeff always does it well, but the second time, why he does it weller! It's somewhere between 35 and 40 degrees celcius, so it's time for that new coat- awesome! Good care! FR

  6. Hahahaha….. Ferrari's unreliability ruined it's 1981 season and in 2022 it's the Ferrari team ruining the season. So enjoying this build Jeff. Can't wait to see the car in paint. Cheers for the uploadsπŸ‘

  7. In high school I used to work at a body shop. There was an old timer there that would always use a metal rasp to knock down the rough high spots on body filler just at the time that it began to set but was still pliable. I used that strategy too and it never clogged up the rasp. After it set you had a relatively smooth surface to work with the DA.

  8. Congratulations Jeff. Finally on the last stages of prep.
Watched all the way through even if I haven't commented.
I can see why some custom projects end up abandoned and sold incomplete.
Either difficult fabrication, electrical issues or the sheer amount of work required for body prep.
What's it now 2 months of sanding..?
I'd say once the car is primered ready for the top coat take a well earned few days of(miss one video) to recuperate.
Excited to see the colour reveal.
I guess there have been some hints.
    Well done again.
Pleased Mrs Jeff is feeling better.

  9. Try 3m Platinum filler next time? I found it was totally worth a little added cost. It doesnt require the DA or greese remover trick from my experience. At the same phase on my E type now. Encouraging to follow your build.Takes a lot to get it right!

  10. One of my favorite builds. Recently saw one of these Alfas rolling by. Had no idea how small the car actually was. Made me think of your build and how amazing the finalized piece will be. Keep on keeping on!

  11. Great job!! You're getting to the point where you really need to be diligent in takeing your time when working arount the car and painting and prepping small parts. Make room and use sturdy tables/benches. If your walking around the car or parts with an air hose or extension cable….dont get inpatient and start pulling if something gets snagged…just stop and take an extra few minutes to reroute your tools and parts.

  13. I'm so glad that you are showing exactly how much work is involved with body work and paint. It shows patients which is difficult for people to understand because everyone wants everything now. I was a professional painter for many years. Have done full restorations and custom work as well. Alot of tv automotive restoration shows don't show the actual time frame. The reward of all the hard work is paying off. I always found myself calming myself down to stop rushing as I could see the end so clearly.
I've watched all your videos and can't wait to see the completion of this amazing car πŸ™‚

  14. I always thought the comprex super-turbocharger would become popular but the lag must have been the problem thx for that amazing factoid! I’ve always said the nightly news presenters should be calling mrs Jeff up!
