  1. 2:08 Maybe I misunderstood what you said, but to clarify, in "Fate/Requiem" Erice literally lives in an abandoned maid café.

    25:03 At first I thought that they were just betting on actual horse racing (which happens to be one of the few legal forms of gambling in Japan). Now I wonder if arcades even are a place to do that. I didn't find a concrete answer, but I did learn that some arcades have horse racing tables, where figurines of horses and their jockeys move along the track and players bet tokens on them. Not sure if the winnings can be exchanged for money the same way pachinko parlors do it (getting special prizes that can be exchanged for money in a separate shop nearby) or if it's actually strictly for fun.

    Side-note. Horse racing in Japan is organized by Japan Racing Association, who have collaborated with Fate a couple of times (maybe more but I only know of two times). Then again, companies collabing with Fate seems to be fairly common. Check out Red Bard's "Can You Live Entirely off of Fate Merchandise?" video for a glimpse of that.
