FFXIV IS IN A BAD STATE! I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME! [FFXIV 6.35]

I don’t think FFXIV is in a healthy place for PEOPLE WHO WANT TO ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME. I thought the relic grind would solve this problem and I am clearly wrong as it’s another hunt train tomestone farm step.

  1. Ultimate raider here. I agree. Bozja was great for something to do, I was utterly disappointed after finding out the second stage of Manderville weapons was tomes. So much so that I haven't even bothered doing it yet. It's really sad. All the map resources going to Island Sanctuary was a waste, IS has nothing on Bozja /Zadnor. People can bitch and moan about it like they did but it kept me busy for a long time and I had fun doing it.

  2. I've never done an ultimate or savage until I can unsynch it don't feel like I'm skilled enough due to my disability but I've never not found something to do eureka bozja relics etc like with any mmo you get out what you put in. Played runescape nearly 20 years and still find things to do.

Problem with warframe- tos is tyrannical like you can get banned for logging in from another IP or spending to long in a mission yet survival are infinite round waves. My brother played the game for years got banned for logging in at our grandmother's house

  3. to be completely fair, I am glad you have extra time to play warframe. it's a good game. have fun mate! don't put all your eggs into one basket. it's completely fine to play other games too ^^

  4. I don't know, man, even with slow stuff, I believe most of us (very very casual players) have plenty stuff to do or even try. YoshiP did mention to take it easy and play other games if you feel burned out by the game (which you clearly are). Also, really, would you prefer to do CT 15-20 times? The tome grind is kind of a good motivator if you want to do hunt train achievements if you haven't before. ALSO, kinda probably need to mention this, knowing how the Hildibrand questline is going in general, I have NO DOUBTS there will be a step which will make you go cursing and "Okay, maybe tomes weren't so bad".
I mean your own feeling are valid but I disagree. I'm still grinding my soul away in the firmament because I want the goddamn cursed mount so that I can say 'never again'.

  5. As someone who actually is really at odds with the nerfing of content and having nothing to do in 6.35, i honestly still heavily disagree with some points in this video, and feel you're experiencing an issue of the game not giving you the content that you want, and being hung up on Bozja primarily.

What this video really screams is "me hate raiders, me think raider bad, why raider get thing i don't, me sad".

Raiders aren't the ones asking for relic grinds to be trivialised, and if you existed anywhere outside an echo chamber during Shadowbringers, you would've seen that many people didn't like it. I loved Bozja. It seems you did too. But others didn't, and now you're seeing the results of their complaints. This video is poorly researched, and is basically just an excuse to whine about the fact that raids didn't get dragged down with it, because raiders actually loved DSR, and asked for more like that, and the developers listened, as in most cases they do (hint hint).

Only small dick energy I found in this section is the weird fixation you have on the fact that people raid Ultimate and show off things they worked for, no doubt the same way that you do your relic. The only difference between a long term relic grind and an Ultimate weapon is that you have to be good at the game to get an Ultimate weapon, and otherwise both of them are literally just grinds that results in a weapon

  6. Aren't you the same player that powerleveled island sanctuary to level it up risking carpal tunnel syndrome now complaining that you have nothing to do? Oh poor you..
I mean i dont know what y'all pretend from a game that had been giving content nonstop for a DECADE, y'all complained for Bozja being a repetitive slog, this is what you get. Bozja and Eureka are deserts now. You just dont get to enjoy them anymore if you missed the train back then. It is nice to have EASY relics every couple expansions. If you need to grind and want content to do there are the ARR relics.

People didn't quit Eureka at Anemos. In fact, Anemos was arguebly the chillest step of the Stormblood Relic because people were just running NM (Notorious Monsters) Trains and AFKing. Eureka Pagos is what caused a large chunk of the playerbase to outright abandon the Eureka Relic grind because players were now forced do Monster Chains (up to 30) that gave less elemental exp the the more party members you had in your group. People were litterally getting Carpal Tunnel from doing the long chains that forbid you from ever typing chat or taking any breaks until you hit that 30 chain. Players were even using ACT just to make sure that their party members were doing rotations optimally and not slacking off.

Three Hunt Trains will not get you 1500 Tomestone of Astronomy. Each Endwalker A Rank Monster gives 20 Tomestone of Astronomy. There are 6 regions with 2 A rank marks per region plus one extra instance in Thavnair and Mare Lamentorum. You would get a total of 16 A Rank Monsters per hunt train. 16 X 20 = 320 Tomestone of Astronomy per hunt train. Three hunt trains would actually get you 960 Tomestones. You would need to do five Hunt Trains, not three. Also, do to high congestion, the Aether Hunts Discord has temporarily stopped doing cross world train announcements and gone back to local trains only.

If you ask me, I think the reason post 6.0 Endwalker has been so lackluster is because Creative Business Unit III has had to divide their attention and resources between FF14 and FF16.

  8. Passive aggressive community sucks in ff14. Ruined every FC I was in w their psychotic drama all while immunity shielded by 'diversity'. Not a kid friendly game anymore.

  9. Aint it funny, I was playing Warframe, grinding weapon levels/mr. And I was suddenly like "I could be playing FFXIV" and I've been playing it ever since instead. Almost 4 years ago xD

The new relics are simply an excuse to force people through the Hildibrand questline. That's the grind. xD Even though I personally love/loved doing them. A lot of people don't want to. They just want a straight grind.

  10. I kinda feel like all this is a bit premature. Every patch isn’t gonna have stuff you like. If there’s nothing you want to do then as the saying goes take a break until the next routinely scheduled patch that might have something you want to do. Been playing 3 years with 2 breaks 4000k hrs plus. Right now just doing some savage and this is the perfect time for ultimates so working on dsr. Need to finish my island too one of these days. Also doing some house decorating. Also just on the topic of ultimates. Who gives a crap what people thing about people who’ve cleared. Ultimates are fun and rewarding. Plus give shiny cool weapons. Also it’s cool to have people standing in limsa. Makes the game feel alive. I only stand there on Tuesdays for hunt trains but I’m glad it’s populated when I pop by. Its a hub. On the topic of the relic, we haven’t seen what other steps there may be for the relic so why be prematurely mad about it. Endwalker isn’t over yet. Not saying I don’t wish there was more because who doesn’t, I just don’t feel like there’s a reason for anger. Al constructive criticism is good though but like I mentioned is it too soon to form an opinion on an unfinished thing.

  11. I feel you there. The tomestone grind was okay for once, ONCE!, but now again?? They certainly made sure people stay subbed with this. Sure, relics are always a grind, but you cant tell me there isnt an alternative. In Shadowbringers, we could at least choose between two grinds and switch it up: either Bozja and Zadnor or FATEs in HW (and SB if I remember correctly). This is just like the HW relic – just worse. Its not the grind I have an issue with… its the sort of grind -.-

  12. I’d like to point out one more thing. Endwalker was the first post pandemic expansion and regardless of you believe in covid or not it affected Japan heavily. Who knows if they had more planned or not but I’d give them a break.

  13. Fun fact, most of things that he listed wanting to incorporate into the relic gives the tomes that you can use for the relic. So you can customize your grind to how you want. The same way you can either have fun with farming Borja and Zadnor in interesting ways, or you can Dread it and curse it instead while getting it done.

  14. The end game structure that FFXIV has stuck with since probably as far back as Heavensward is the problem. It always has been some expansions have been better than others but here we are again with the same problems and the devs are just coasting on the end game structure. Other content creators have brought this up multiple times but when they did people just go and immediately gave them shit for it. Don't get me wrong either I love the FFXIV devs too, and I'll not quit the game over this but them not being willing to break from this end game structure even a little is hurting this game more than anything.

  15. The content in this game is trash. Played hardcore in 2020, but after the story you are left with nothing but large square or round platforms called raids, and that is it. Even then the raids are dry, just a memorization exercise. Pvp is crap, because netcode and animation delays. The actual gameplay is ass af, which is why all content outside of raids actually discourages any fighting because it is crap and they know it.

Ehy would i go to an island to farm shit… what! I want good gameplay and have good fights, ff14 has a lot going for it, but really lazy devs. You cant change the way you play a class, because more talents cause balance problems, such a cope excuse… its because they dont want to do something challenging and make our gameplay experience better. Ff14 could have been a great game, but it is actually mid at best.

  16. Ffxiv has a habit of not modifying content after release. Like the dead content. Occasionally they may attempt to make it relevant again by making it a part of some event. (like the tome event)

Often times this just leaves their mistakes open and on display. Bozja and eureka are fun little areas to me… but running solo in there is a slow burn and the grind for the items contained is much less than enticing, because it's old content that requires quite a bit of time.

I would like to shift gears rn and say my giant FU to the community overall tho. (Nobody in particular) a year ago I brought up some of the things people are currently upset about and I was told to grow up and stop acting like a spoiled brat. And now the community overall are expressing similar issues that mirror mine from the past. I'm actually very happy about it. As I feel validated. Still fuck you (sorry cole.. definitely not you particularly)

There has been not one content patch released with out a time lock that wasn't finished with the release day. (My experience over the last year or two)

Vent your frustrations… quit or dont… but get over it.

  17. Why yoshi p say take a break from the game ? Because he more focused on ff16 and its been showing how content been lacking in ffxiv . Also he money hungry with the glams in mogstation and he doesn’t listen to his customers in wanting hairstyles . But he put some hairstyles with outfits. And charge a lot for it. Doesn’t make sense.

  18. No developer should ever say play another game . Right there is so disappointing and shows yoshi gave up on ffxiv . He should have someone else take his place if he ran out of ideas and also hire other ppl to fix the game better and glams like phantasy star 2 . They have the best glam , and hairstyles . Also is something for you to do every day . Even casino area is cool . Gold saucer in ffxiv so bland.

  19. Yeah, you should definitely quit. If what other people are wearing bothers you that much or how they choose to play the characters they pay for offends you as much as it does, then it's time for you to move on to something you can enjoy for as long as you're able to.

  20. I should point out something, the devs are expecting you to grind out multiple relic weapons, and while it's hard to say how many they personally intend. The fact that the 1st 2 steps was easy means they intend for you to grind out a ton of them, 1 for each job in the game.

  21. Uhhhh…. How on earth is having a relic a skill expression? It's just proof of having no life.

Imagine being mad that a game respects your time.

Like if you weren't so emotional over this I might be more reasonable about it, but you're being incredibly whiny. Experience other things life has to offer for the love of dog.
