  1. Not unless they fix ARR. yes they did cut it down but they haven’t done enough. I almost went crazy and quit. I still can’t imagine my other friends finishing ARR, I’m tempted to just buy them story skip boost so they won’t give up.

  2. Its a good time to take a break and enjoy the summer now that we're at the end of the story and the new story arcs are coming in slowly. For new players every time is a good time to start.

  3. This is the best video I've seen on this topic, having in mind the perspective of new players and those that have been playing for years.
I've been very disappointed by Endwalker msq, music and content so far but that does not take away those incredible moments from past expansions that are still there if I want to relive them. Best thing about this game is that I don't feel like I have to play it every day so I can go enjoy other games and come back to Eorzea whenever I want and don't feel penalized in any way (maybe just losing the house if I take too long).

  4. I just started and in 1 month i played +100h and Im just about to beat ARR lol. Im loving this game so much even though ARR is its roughest "expansion" as I understand. I know i will go NUTS with Heavensward for sure hahahaha

  5. I like this game a lot, it's just over the years, I really got tired of it, due the long waiting patches, 4 months or more for each then nothing else, it's so hard to join a static that holds for endgame, repeating the same dungeon everyday for 4 months or more to get currency for equipment/weapon that you can't even use to savage due the lack of groups and can do everything else anyways it's just pointless + the only thing that kept me was the housing that I didn't care to begin with lol. Lately I rather just join 2-3 months before the expansion and the same after I get the most enjoyable part of it.πŸ˜…

  6. i play cause i wait when Yoshipi delete garbage tbn and oblti…. oblit…. obll oh fk ok tbn 82 lvl shield on drk and change it on devil trigger mechanic(but DONT TOUCH >>>>SHADOW WALL<<<<<, its actualy good cooldown). My thoughts on this for drk i think need to throw off this garbage shields tbn and oblation(NOT SHADOW WALL >>>>don't confuse<<<<), and give us instead some devil(abbysal) triger which one burst damage and change base 3 atack skill on cooler version of this, with 600-800 potency(and all 3 become aoe with 60% lesser damage to nearest from target enemy like some lunar/solar skill on monk). and all 3 have souleater heal regen.

  7. I'll be honest, after trying to do TOP(didn't pan out) and keeping up with crafting gear melds and fitting my teams with gear and food since stormblood. I'm just tired, bruh. I think that's the biggest issue with ffxiv right now is I've been doing all this for years and eventually you just don't want to anymore. That combined with every other game and ffxiv too having a battle pass. fucking crystalline conflict. I just feel like I'm tired of grinding.

That's why when the relic quest said it just be some tomes I was like thank god. Not like the weapons worth much if you've already cleared savage by the time its out anyway. So yes, it's worth playing but gd sometimes it feels like a job and that's the part of mmos that I hate. Time sinks from crafting/gathering being the most egregious. fuck time nodes, fuck it taking nearly an hour just to make pots for MYSELF with the fastest macros we got. fuck that shit into the ground. Overmelding is trash rng for the sake of having blue rocks being worth shit. Sigh. It seems yoship doesn't like wasting my time til it comes to crafting/gathering. That's how you know he full of it.

  8. I've finally been getting into this game and giving it a fair chance. I'm still at the beginning of Heavensward and I'm having a good time. I just wish progression felt better class wise in the lower levels, it's my main complaint with all of the story content to go through. I know class design gets better eventually, but I wish they'd streamline this to make it more enjoyable while leveling. I haven't found a Job I've fallen in love with, yet.

  9. Game is 100% about the journey, even if the end game feels like a journey.
Unless you are in a place to take your time, to have the mindset to go slow then I would recommend waiting until you are ready.

  10. I wish they balanced lower level content in a way that allowed you to use all of the skills you've acquired so far on a job. I always feel less inclined to help new players because I know I will feel bored doing a level 30 something dungeon and only having 2 or 3 skills to press. It also doesn't fulfill that power fantasy I get from other mmorpgs where you feel powerful helping out lower level players and showing them the cool things they can do once they level up as well. I wish they would at the very least do it for dungeons, the content is already easy and trivial, all it would do is increase the replayability if I can do any dungeon roulette but always have the skills of whatever level I am at on a job.

  11. Please dont get me wrong, long time Final Fantasy fan here!
The only thing that bothers me is that I am always feel overpowered at the leveling journey … you do Sidequests/Main Story and they are done in seconds even if you are just 1 or 2 levels above.
That doesnΒ΄t mean the Quests have to be long, but a bit more challenging or grindy … more valuable.
I am rushing through the Quests, but I dont wanna rush … thats not really immersive πŸ˜₯
Also I have the feeling exploring are rewardless by comparison to WoW, in WoW there a certain or random Item drops from enemies or chests (Its like "oh there is a cave lets go in and explore it to the end … oh there were just enemies") instead of getting a "reward" like a chest or a small boss with a item drop or quest-item.
But I have to say I play the game 6 months so maybe I am wrong😌

  12. i like it when ShB released. SE removed everything that I hated from this game

    – Aggro Combo
    – TP bar
    – Cross class
    – Stat adjustments

Now they make it more fun by reducing skill buttons in EW. Love FF14

  13. I started playing a couple months before Endwalker came out and it still has my love almost 2 years later. I really appreciate the lulls inbetween patches, gives me time to go back and explored older content, get into crafting and gathering, and just generally feel chill and at peace in Eorzea.

  14. As a long time FF14 player (since it released) I'm actually finding SWTOR more fun right now. The story is easier to digest and I appreciate the 100% voice acting. It may not be a masterpiece but it's more FUN which is what is important when gaming. Is FF14 worth playing in 2023? absolutely. Just remember to take breaks as it's very easy to get burned out in FF14.

  15. I feel like you made this video because too much people are taking breaks with the game. Chill out. Your favorite game is not dying. We're just playing other games while we deal with this underwhelming post expansion patches. You'll see so much people come back during next expansion hype.
