Feral cat Berkeley stops growling for a few glorious minutes to enjoy… PETTING!?

APR 29, 2024: Feral mama Berkeley gave birth to four beautiful kittens! Mom and babies are doing great so far – yay! Scroll down for weight chart.

APR 21 2024: Feral mama-to-be Berkeley has eluded us for more than a year! We were FINALLY able to trap her using our remote-triggering robo-trap. She’s pregnant, and will give birth for the last time in our care. Because she is feral, we will take a very specific approach to her pregnancy, labor, and raising her final litter of kittens in order to minimize her stress and maximize her + kittens well-being. If you see something that doesn’t make sense, please ask our mods why we’re doing it!

We livestream our rescued cats, 24 hours a day, uncensored, to raise awareness about the realities of cat overpopulation in a way that inspires compassion. Watching Berkeley give birth for the last time is a great way for parents and kids to experience the “miracle of birth” without letting their own pets give birth and further contributing to overpopulation.

GUIDE FOR PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE: Please be polite, chat with compassion, and give each other the benefit of the doubt. Please don’t swear, don’t ask for subscriptions, don’t ask personal questions, don’t spam (including roll call requests & spamming emojis) and keep your chatting family friendly, inclusive and peaceful. No block caps. Thanks!

OUR MODS ARE VOLUNTEERS AND THEY ARE TRYING TO HELP, PLEASE TREAT THEM ACCORDINGLY! Bothering a moderator inside or outside of chat is grounds for banning and the sharing of your info to other cams for them to ban you as well.

Concerning Trolls: Ignore them. That’s what they dislike the most. Their goal is to upset you so you give them attention. They think this is funny.

Thank mew so much to everyone who is watching! We could not do the life-saving work we do, without your support and encouragement. We appreciate our #TinyVillage more than words can express.

  1. I wish I had a job that allowed me to have kittens in my lap! Shelly, you work so hard for those little critters but I'm sure the rewards are worth it. I love watching your channel. ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Oh I have such hope for her! A lot of it still could be protective of the kitters. It will be very interesting to see how it goes once she isn't worrying about them also!

  3. Amazing how relaxed she is compared to a few weeks ago! She doesn't seem at all worried about Shelley handling her babies and she definitely enjoys snacks. And the kittens are too cute for words. What a wonderful little family – I'm glad we have the opportunity to watch them.

  4. Great little setup you have developed there. Congratulations. It's going very well, isn't it. I'm surprised that Berkeley accepts you handling her kittens. She's following everything with interest after she had eaten. Very lovely scene.

  5. Slow down and do everything you are doing at a slower pace. Stay on the approach long enough for her to feel okay with what you are doing. I have raised a few strays with kittens that are afraid of people. Moving too fast is frightening and makes the cat defensive.
