Probably the worst looking and sounding strat I've seen Fender put out in a long time. Glad I started collecting Squier strats instead!
I'm pretty sure the consensus is that Bruno Mars has about as much right to a signature Strat (or any other kind of guitar) as any of your basic pop stars, which is no right at all. The major guitar companies don't need this kind of "publicity", but if they want to honor musicians they should do just that instead of this ridiculous travesty.
Bruno Mars Strat > Gibson Modern Lite….. I bought both too. Glad I picked up the Bruno Mars. Makes my Gibson lite regret feel ok.
This and the Lincoln Brewster strats are two of the best I’ve seen/played. Love the Brewster, but this one takes the cake, plus it doesn’t require a 9-volt battery.

As much as I dislike Bruno Mars (which is a lot) that is one very impressive Stratocaster. Love the color, and that bridge pickup is ridiculous in the best way. Cool demo. 😎

And no, I don’t care about your 300 dollar Strat that you’ve convinced yourself is comparable. This is the best thing that has come from fender outside of the the custom shop in a very long time. Great-looking guitar! I wasn’t crazy about the sound—I expect a Strat, or a Tele for that matter, to have some snap. And this didn’t snap! Looks cool, though.
I just did a demo on several fender guitar's. Theres no inspiration at the bottom and for youths to ever want to learn, the guitqrs have to be better and cost less. You may say thats happened. 2 thousand dollars is too much. The ultra lux plays nice but a player can be upgraded to that for way less. Guess they only want to appeal to the rich guy. I can get all of that in another guitar for far less. As you can tell, I'm mad at fender.
Prob a 6 piece body too.
