  1. HOLY FUCK dude, this might be my favorite episode of anything abridged I have ever seen. Period end. Yalls writing is absolutely bonkers and multilayered like a fucking onion. There are so many incredible lines, not only of which are funny, but are just straight up either badass or just plain incredible. A few examples:

"Allow me to show you the hill upon which my body of glass and fire was quenched and folded."

The lancer roast poem directed at archer.

"We're all inane. Everyone of us here is an idiot, you and I are just the only ones trying to DO something about it"

Ugh. Just ugh. Yall need to stop having this much talent. Leave some for the rest of us.

Just wanted to gush a bit. You guys are my favorite abridgers. Keep being awesome.

  2. For those missing the jokes, Archer is Shirou from the future. Well, a future.

We don't know much about his original timeline except his Servant was Artoria, and it was more or less like Fate (first of the three routes in Fate Stay Night) but less fulfilling. He's so mad about it becoming a Counter Agent though he wants to kill all Shirous from any timeline he can. Not that this will change his destiny, but…cringe.

Another joke in Abridged is that this Archer, in Unlimited Blade Works (2nd Route), remembers the events from Fate (First Route)
So he knows that Kirei is both Lancer's and Gilgamesh's master. He knows how Caster died in Fate, etc.

  3. ARCHER: gonna be honest, I perfer blondes

I just wanna imagine the conversation he has with shirou and saber when he revels he's shirou from the fate route and how he banged saber and also had a threesome with saber and rin

  5. The writing is so incredible with a mix of traditional English and poetry with modern English to keep it entertaining and easily understandable. Oh damn I'm so pissed I still lack brain cells to figure out Archer's character humor when he decided to learn more about Kuzuki's relationship with Medea for the heck of it. I want to understand more of Logan's beyond professional writing!

  6. Lancer died twice. first time, when he was betrayed in the battlefield like the story of The Three Kingdom. Second time, was during the Fate/Zero series. so yeah it's easy to understand that line

  8. 19:20 I get the metaphor, but also f*ck that metaphor. Because guess what: it's not Batman's fault so many people because of the criminals that he keeps stopping, but keep escaping prison or Arkham or whatever. Batman stops the villains, but then the police arrests them, the courts sentence them to either prison or Arkham, and those places fail to keep them incarcerated or rehabilitate them. Why is the blame pinned solely on batman, the one guy actually stopping them, for not killing them, when neither the police pulls a bullet in the back of their heads, nor the judges give them the death penalty, nor the prisons facilitate an "accident", or at least adapt and improve their security against these criminals

What does this have to do with Batman aka Archer? Absolutely nothing, but I'm tired of the faulty argument/mentality that is "Batman is to blame for all the deaths because he doesn't kill his criminals". No he doesn't, and no he shouldn't have to be the judge of that

  9. Young native naive shirou: why do you hate yourself? You're so cool with all these powers to save people!

Archer: because I'm basically a slave to the counter force! I save the human race by killing countless other humans! Men, women, and children.
