What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for Youtube, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. I do at least two videos everyday of mainly tutorials, let’s plays and general gameplay footage. Thanks for watching my videos.

This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

  1. Try going along the fences to see if there are any plants to pick. The weeds might grow there. You could also try the fields around the town. It look like a lot of plants there that you might be able to pick.

  2. Some things I've learned (much of which is also included in the video but re-written here as an index):

    – I can confirm a glitch where animals that were once assigned to a structure are perma-assigned regardless of whether or not you sell them or they die. My dog died despite there being raw meat stored in the doghouse. Plopping the food item in the animal's storage isn't enough and, similar to the pig issue, the doghouse claimed that I didn't have the resources necessary to feed her.

    – There is a watering trough near your campfire and tutorial cart. It is possible that you can direct an animal to use it but I have yet to test this.

    – My horse, which I named Horace, seems to be immortal.

    – You can check how your animals are doing from under the build menu (F). The last item on the list along the left (noted as "Animal List") should show you your animals and their conditions.

    – While I haven't tested with any other animal yet, I find that feeding my chickens some corn also quenches their thirst. For whatever reason, having corn in my inventory is enough to feed the chicken via the chicken coop's menu.

    – I have built several Food Eating Bowls and have no clue what they're for. You can't interact with them and neither Horace the Immortal nor my dead dog ever used them. However, I have not tried pigs yet.

    – When you collect items from your garden you don't have to press Q to bring up the radial menu every time. Press and hold Q while spamming the Collect Resources option with your mouse will allow you to collect more rapidly. I can't imagine why there isn't a "collect all" option and I'm also irked by the fact that I have to destroy the plant after its first harvest and then re-plant a new one.

    – As soon as you plant something it will want water. Rain will slowly water your plants but if you "flush" your water tower after you've planted new items, they will slowly be watered to full (I assume your plants will only be watered by a tower if they're growing in an orchard or garden plot). However, I haven't been able to test how the water tower itself gets filled. If it is based on rain there is the possibility that it can be depleted of its stores during dry seasons. The tower has a pretty good range. I built a plot of wheat by my tutorial cart and the tower reaches that far.

    – I THINK/hope that some plants WANT to be dried out, such as wheat. So far I've only been able to harvest wheat seeds from my wheat plants but haven't been able to harvest anything useful that my chickens can use or that I can cook with. I built a wind-based flour mill but have yet to try it. I'm wondering if the game has a growing/wet season and a harvest/drought season.

    – There are scrub-like plants that can be harvested. They look like various types of unique grasses or wild flowers. Check around the copse of trees and along the roads. They have names, such as aloe, and medicinal qualities. You can make band-aids and splints with some of them at the campfire. They might also be considered a "weed". I also purchased a couple of seeds for flowers (which might be considered weeds or need weeding) but have yet to plant them. I've tried "harvesting" naturally growing grass with the scythe but they seem to be ornamental. I don't know if the scythe works yet.

    – That copse of trees include mature apple trees, which sometimes drop apples when you chop them down. Free food and seeds! There's plenty of free corn around and I found another mine not too far away that has copper. I didn't dare try to mine it since I don't believe that I own it… yet.

    – Just like Kage, I can't get the crafting bench to work yet, either. However, some of the items I've crafted throughout the game don't work but the same items that you purchase from vendors will work fine. So I recently purchased a crafting bench from a vendor but have yet to plop it into place on my property.

    – The tools that I've crafted so far only last one swipe. However they can be sold at full price. So I'll make a tool, sell it, and buy the same tool from a vendor whenever an old tool wears out.

    – Very few structures require stone. I mine all of the stone every morning just to sell it. It feels very grindy, but it is $100 for three in-game hours of work and doesn't require wood to craft.

    – The next time you visit the seed vendor, scroll down. She has more seeds available.
