  1. Ash did create a F2P account in 2022 call Vex Thal. He did not get too far on it, but did use it occasionally to show off new player ideas and play with common, uncommons rares, etc. He pulled it up pretty recently, so I would be curious to see him revive that, lol. Note: I HATE whale shard pull videos. I did like that Ash donated 1000's, but it really isn't that interesting to watch whales pull stuff you may never get.

  2. The other reason to go for gem pack is that they don't inflate the price each month. Like Colred, I like to "pay the developers" for games that I like. When I felt I was going to be playing more than a couple months, I bought the "monthly pack" for 29.99. It seemed comparable to season passes of other games, just a bit more expensive. The next month the "Monthly pass" had more shards but was $49.99. I was legit shocked and did not buy it. I believe it goes up to $99.99 and stays there. Almost every mix pack/monthly pack does the same thing, and it takes several months for it to reset to normal. The gem pack stays 9.99. I did that for a few months, became frustrated with the P2W aspect and stopped "paying the developers". They got a chunk from me, roughly what I would have paid for a complete console game, so I won't give another penny.

  3. I disagree about the Forge Pass. I have seen many CC's Craft their gear and get ONE useable piece, or maybe with a handful to complete a set (like Bolster). You can get nothing useable from the Forge Pass for 20.00. I don't think that is a "known quantity".

  4. I was free to play until i got to unm clan boss and level 25 for all normal dungeons. Now I just get the gem pack only. I recommend that. It's a big relief to get masteries and complete things if you just started playing in the last year and now you will continue and want to save time. This game is a time sink

  5. I guess majority of spenders does not pay for fun in gacha games but rather to catch up or overcome others. Money gives them just a fast and sneaky way to achieve it. Pure rivalry.

  6. If a big spender wants to become f2p, they have to learn patience and play "Wait Shadow Legends". As they won't get results at once, they won't get their usual dopamine shot and it might seem very frustrating.

  7. I don't understand the hate for shard pull videos. I love when they pull a non-mainstream champion and talk about them. I'm F2P and seeing some of my "lesser" champions discussed and suggested as options to replace top champs during a shard pull helps me assess my account and find solutions to problems I'm facing. These lesser champs would never have their own dedicated video. my 2 cents.

  8. I was tempted for He-man. Nostalgia almost won me over but I stuck to my f2p ways. I'm about 2.25 years in and I would like to think I'm near end game. Haven't always been grinding hard the whole time, but I'm pretty focused on achieving goals. I like the challenge free to play but my gambling addiction says it's risky to spend as if I start I may not stop

  9. I appreciate the f2p grind. It's a fun challenge. But if you can spend a little money to get you away from the game and have more time with family and friends, you should do it. I'm a father, and a grandfather, whos been playing video games for 42 years. Games, even if they are your main income, should ALWAYS come second to family and friends. Time is the most precious resource you have. It can't be replaced with any amount of money. People can be gone in an instant. Games come and go. Make the right choice. Thanks for the vid! See you in the next one!

  10. I am a spender. I am what's considered a "dolphin" meaning over the years my total amount spent is between $2-4,000 in the span of my account's life.

I watch you and Colred because as high end F2P players, you demonstrate strategies and methods i can apply to my account that will save me money.

I spend because I enjoy the game, I'm paying for entertainment, but you both have great tips and methods I can use that will allow me to progress for free where I otherwise would've gotten frustrated and spent money.

You and Colred both offer great insight and information that will help players of all types. Anyone from F2P all the way to people like me and even to whales.

In the end, I don't mind spending but if you teach me something that saves me money then that's going to let me spend on other things

  11. 'profit mode' just means they'll get more money from existing players compared to newer players
    this isn't anything new tho
if you've played any other game that's lasted years, you'd see similar powercreep things like souls, blessings, mystical gear etc

  12. i also dont see why people complain about progressive 15x
every game has some 'banner' with heroes/champs on constant rotation
if anything raid SHOULD be having more
not interested? just ignore it like i do

  13. pretty good thing for value is gem pack, those gear passes, maybe the energy daily pack (only bought this once maybe)
I never buy shards normally but would consider if i was missing some if close to getting some guaranteed lego event

  14. i'm surprised to hear a CC that gets stuff from raid is lacking books
im a low spender and def have more champs that the bald dude but never have problems with booking legos
I usually end up having to use them to get points for cvc or even training nowadays

  15. I started during the 1st ninja event and spent until the december of that year. I've been F2P for the last year and a half. Spending imo is only valuable in the beginning to boost your roster or book champs but unless you are willing to dump thousands during the late game spending doesn't impact your account like it does when it's fresh

  16. I think everybody is missing the point. If you have been playing a long time like Boozor then you can be FTP because you evolved with the game. It was a lot easier to get champs with a limited roster. The game has been power crept so hard that anybody that’s under 2 years or just starting as a FTP will never get to endgame. It will take like 2 years plus just to build a hydra team and that’s just for like brutal or lower. That’s why when HH announced the new FTP challenge, I just laughed.. Good luck with that! Far as spending goes. You should spend your money where you spend your time but you shouldn’t be spending more money than your phone bill every month. If you guys knew how to invest in stocks then you would be rich with all the money you put into this game. I stopped spending because of the way they are handling the game. Only way for me to spend again is to revert hydra buff and fix the taunt nerf. Also revert Wixwell back to how it was. None of that affected anything that’s going on. The only thing they did was cut out midgame players and my middle finger is up to them for that.

  17. I run 23 accounts and have no problem spending 5-10 quid every 2 or 3 months. I spent a bit more over Xmas (20 pounds but I got critical items like lego books which are hard to come by) but given I play the game 24/7 for 5 years I don't mind helping out the whales who are paying for my game time.

  18. enjoyed listening to you guys talk about various topics! have to agree: if you want to spend, spending on stuff that gives you a specific return is usually the best approach. currency packs & battle passes (in other games). keeps you engaged in logging in for 30 days + extra resources to spend where you want to (masteries fo exmaple to save time there w/o grinding mino).
