Not much that is new, except great comfort to know that Marini was devout and Faithful. I always hoped that he would be Pope, but he didn't play politics and Cdl Daneels and St Gallen were very busy doing just that on Bergoglio's behalf. When I learned that he had assumed the name of the Poverello of Assisi a chill ran down my spine – and not a chill of a thrill of joy…still I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but never felt easy. "O Tempore O Mores – O Fiducia Supplicans!" by LaDonna Brava just came out – analyses FS but also puts it in the larger context of Bergoglio's "secret" "flirtation" with the saudi emiratis… 19 flights to the Mid East in 10 years…and such a sunny disposition once he arrives!
