Everything Steven Miles has done has been through the ‘prism of self-interest’

Commentator Jason Morrison says everything Queensland Premier Steven Miles has done in his past nine years of working within the state government has been through the “prism of self-interest”.

Mr Morrison sat with Sky News contributor Gary Hardgrave to discuss the Premier’s history as well as the polling between the Queensland LNP and Labor parties.

“He’s had the highest profile roles in Queensland really to get to know the public and for them to get to know him,” he said.

“They kind of pretend ‘oh he hasn’t been talking much about himself so this is the time for him to do it’ – BS he hasn’t been talking about himself.

“Just about everything has been through the prism of self-interest over the last nine years … I think most people have figured him out pretty quickly.”

  1. You SkyNews buffoons just can’t help yourselves. You are nothing more than the media arm of the LNP. Murdoch is so desperate to get them back into Government because he makes more money and has more influence on Australian policy when his LNP minions are in power. You seem to think disinformation and character attacks are actual news reporting. You are all just happy to do what a foreign billionaire tells you. You are truly all pathetic.

  2. Miles, aptly named, "miles" away from reality and a male clone of the former madam premier who jumped ship because the LNP. are snapping at the heels of Qld. Labor.. Remember NO still means NO to 'voice' agenda, NO treaties or derivatives of and NO sweetheart deals that pander to minority groups unhappy with the result of the referendum. The health, hospital and ambulance debacle, youth crime still unpunished regardless of the claim "we have the toughest laws of any mainland state" they are not working, power bills that seem to increase monthly, a road system that needs immediate upgrade, the list is endless. None of this is resolved in spite of Qld. having the highest cost of government charges in any state, vehicle registration, licensing, fines and charges, stamp duty etc. the cost of the Cross river rail link has doubled, where has all the money gone? incompetence seems to be normal. The Olympics will benefit real estate arbitragers and investors at the expense of everyone else and may give some ministers and dignitaries a nice warm feeling but do nothing for ordinary people who are struggling financially, Sydney will pay for the 2000 Olympics until 2034, the Qld. Olympic debt will be much higher! Declaring unbelievable emission targets may make you feel good but does nothing for the many thousands living in tents.
