  1. Fun fact: all living things are female at conception, the chromosomes that decide your birth sex develop through the incubation process. And reptiles and frogs have really malleable genetics, why they're the first signs of toxicity and pollution in environments, so I absolutely buy that the Dino's could change sex spontaneously.

  2. I remember when me and my brother where like 6 or 7 years old and found an old VHS copy of this in the attic. we decided to watch it because we fucking LOVED the land before time. Needless to say that was an experience that stuck with me for a while

  3. Dude! You missed the line right before the T-Rex break out.
Referring to the night vision goggles
    “Are the heavy?”
    “Yeah”
“Then their expensive, put them back."
all my family and friends use this line often!

  4. JP is one of my favorite movies. Still, I got the JP book for my birthday and I've been reading through that. I think I much prefer the book at the moment. The pacing is a bit slower and the mystery that JP is engineering dinos is kind of ruined by the fact I've already seen the movie and the book's summary also mentioned it, but I do love the impact. There's a lot of mystery and suspense in the first act of the book around Hammond, InGen, and the dinosaurs.

  5. The book is better and Crichton got it right. Spielberg just twisted for cinema. And hit a home run as he always does. The book is about meddling like Dr Fauci paid others to do.

  6. Nobody knows for sure because Michael Crichton died before anyone asked him but in the dinosaur reference book he used for help writing the book Jurassic Park it erroneously labeled velociraptor as a subspecies of deinonychus. Nobody has 100% certain evidence that that's why velociraptors are the way they are in the book and movie but that's the general assumption nowadays.

  8. I would just like to share my stupidity. I first watched this movie when i was a kid and i had NO IDEA what was happening to the guy at the beginning. I somehow convinced myself he was being sucked into the container by a strong wind. I have grown since then.

  9. 15:12 dilophosaurus was big but he was half the size of trex in length and height, and no where close in weight (diophosaurus 23 ft length, 6 ft height vs Trex 40 ft length and 12 ft height) still cool though

  10. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… Rexy has saved more people than she has eaten! She’s a damn hero!

Also, I sadly have tried to work out the logistics of the cliff in Rexys paddock many times over the last 30 years and still do it every time I rewatch it! Oh well.

Also, I love her roar. They did a perfect job creating it!
