  1. Many people don't realize that TWA800 was seriously thought to have been shot down prior to the findings. It wasn't a crack pot theory, it was very much considered a possibility.

    Even after the findings, I still have my doubts. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but that one seems plausible to me.

    Its also interesting that you include Columbia. Regardless of that specific mission, the SS was absolutely capable of being a high altitude, nuclear-capable bomber. Its one of, if not the primary, reasons for the USSR to build Buran.
