Every Killer's Backstory Explained Quickly! (Dead by Daylight Lore)

Today I’ll be explaining the lore of every DbD killer in 30 seconds or less for each of them. This will focus on the key moments of their lore and give you a solid idea of each character’s backstory but is by no means meant to be a thorough look at them.

At the time of this video’s release Chapter 31 has been released, with new killer The Unknown and survivor, Sable Ward!

  1. This is an update for the old video from 2 years ago now. Hope you enjoy!
The new Killer portraits were made by JDSpirit! 10 are done so far, but soon all characters will have them 🙂 I hope you like them too.

  2. I know many people don't like the Artist but she's still my favorite original character lore-wise and design-wise. Her backstory is tragic as well as beautiful, I can't help but think of it every time I hear her cries in-game.

  3. theory: if Hillbilly’s story took place in the 1940s/50s, i have a strong suspicion “mothers helpers” weren’t caffeine pills, but bhvr had to sort of censor it to keep it at a rating low enough for mainstream markets. Kinda like how the survivor corpses at the end of the moris are perfectly intact no matter how gruesome the mori. What im saying is, those weren’t caffeine pills. Those were something much stronger, and perhaps no longer legal.

  4. Brooo I’ve wanted to make a video like this for years and spent 10s of hours last week writing a script and editing for release this week… and you beat me to its release by 2 days. Awesome video though. Concise and doesn’t miss a beat. The character portraits are awesome as well. I guess I’ll just have to sit on my script for a year or something 😢

  5. Due to the fact that he was present in two killers' lore, I'm personally kinda surprised that BHVR hasn't used Otto Stamper as a killer or something. He's the only character who has appeared in more than one backstory, so I think it would be fun if they used him in the game.

  6. Thank you for this video. I find the characters in this game very interesting, but a lot of their lore is just indigestible for me. Lot of reading, which I don’t mind too much, but having to complete challenges just to know more about a character? No thank you

  7. Great job on this! all the characters are amazingly summarised within record time, and the main events of each character's stories are all mentioned! The only few nitpicks are that you didnt mention the important context behind some of the killer's stories which can make them not make sense to newcomers e.g Carmina's context in Chile under dictator rule, Caleb's context in the 1800s America, or Tarhos's context in 1300s Europe.
