when you talked about passive shields you made me think of the caracal fit i have. made it to soley run gamma's but does pretty well in dark's, i have not currently tried higher then T1 in either with the fit. mainly for gamma since the boost to shields, for cost effective, i think its works out pretty well. not all my missle skills are maxed out and i have not tried using light missile implants. I get 393 dps, 52hp/s, 25,207EHP, 10k shields, using lvl1 shield purger , put the fit at 26mill. i run 2 rapid light's with inferno, 2 with mjolnir, 1 scourge loaded. i can currently run T1's around the 5 minute mark, T0's under 5 minutes.

NOS is based on percent, not raw GJ. Unless it's changed since 2010.
A good passive fit to have a greater value from those implants would be one with 3 shield extenders, 1 multi-hardener and a thermal shield amplifier. The amplifier is what is most important even with other types of abyss and it is very cheap compared to some other modules.
