Tony James and the SSO Logistics team previously struggled with expensive gas trucks and damage caused by tar build up from poor quality gas. When concerns were raised, the suppliers laughed him away before later admitting issues had to be explored.
With quality not guaranteed by current providers, the choice to go #electric with new #lithiumion equipment was easy and also fit with their go green initiative.
With further plans to move towards a greener future with the addition of solar panels to the facility, EP trucks became the obvious choice for the future of logistics and SSO. James Green shares how he worked with SSO to transform their fleet.
SSO Logistics adopted the EFL series, designed based on an existing diesel truck and simply refitted as a Li-ion battery-powered electric forklift. It keeps the major advantages of a diesel truck to cater to the IC forklift operators’ needs, whiles using Li-ion technology to save the maintenance fees and business costs. With the EFL series, EP leads the way in greening and shows what the future electric forklift should be like.
