ASH-12 Streak Continues – Escape From Tarkov

In my last video I started off a nice survival streak with the ASH-12 and got into some great fights with it. This video is a direct continuation on the same life.

  1. 2 things about the hardcore convo at the start:
    1) im curious how voip will work with the hardcore rule set
    2) To help with your idea of making it hardcore accounts rather than splitting the player base, you marked an issue where it would be possible to cheese the rule set. what if a hardcore user was not allowed to pick things up unless they are found in raid or on the body of a player that user killed. this option does have its negatives but would help solve the issue described.

  2. Not only would Hardcore servers split ther playerbase, it would also deprive Hardcore players of a source of loot: regular players. I think what would work is Hardcore as a NewGame+ kind of mode. If you reach a certain level in game, you can choose start NewGame+/Hardcore and your character suddenly becomes a hardcore character. Whether you want to confer some sort of bonus to the players as a reward for wiping their character (maybe faster skill gain, or special hideout facilities) and starting a new game on "harder difficulty", or you think that the challenge and bragging rights are enough of a reward for the players is something to discuss.
You could also make Hardcore exclusive content, like special quests, yet still keep it on the same servers.
Regarding rules, they could either alter the Hardcore rules with every wipe to keep it fresh OR the players can chose modifiers that add additional restrictions, kind of how in the Silent Hunter series you can chose how hardcore you want your realism to be and you get more points towards your overall score for it.

I think this all can work, because the playerbase is already used to trying new shit just for the hell of it without any in game benefit, just to shake things up towards the end of a wipe.
    [EDIT]
On the other hand, it really works fine the it is now, doesn't it? Does it really need to be an official part of the game? I think part of the charm is that players came up with it all, and change it however they see fit.
