  1. I really hate when people cry about the military budget when it's the one real job of the US gov't. The "mythology of a big stick" is a fact for American foreign-policy, get over it. And even if you were somehow stupid enough to not believe that, wouldn't you want to have the most powerful military on the planet by orders of magnitude and maintain that lead on the off-chance we ever have to actually use our military in a war? The answer's obviously, "Yes."

I'm fiscally-conservative, but the gov't spending a shit ton of money on the military and everything contained in it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Is the "military industrial-complex" an issue, specifically how we spend that money (not *how much*)? Yes, absolutely. If y'all wanna talk about where that money's going and whether or not it's a smart investment, or even one at all, then we can have that conversation all day long, and probably even agree a lot. But the budget includes everything the military does, including things like healthcare, retirement, salaries, benefits, office supplies, etc. And the budget would have to be reallocated/increased to do the things they should've fucking done decades ago in reference to salary and retirement- Wildly increasing them and fixing major issues with guys getting fucked over in their retirement.

I don't mind spending absurd amounts of money on the military. It's one of the few legitimate jobs of the US federal gov't. If that money is spent competently and everything's how it should be, that decimal could move over twice and I wouldn't blink.

  2. Gerontocracy in this late stage soviet america is in bed with corporate mafia looting public finances. The following stop is Argentina, then Venezuela, unless there are deep cuts to monster government.

  3. Don't agree with Dave's view on immigration. Does he speak Spanish? Does enjoy living with Africans? Is replacement just a theory? Is he white? Can he move to Israel? How did the immigrants vote 100 years ago? Did Southern and Eastern Europeans vote for bigger interventionist government? Did they form unions? Did they keep one foot in the home country? did they support more immigration?
