On July 5th, 2023, an officer in Ohio was on patrol when they noticed a suspected drunk driver in a Honda Civic swerving between marked lanes. Upon seeing the driver’s behavior, the officer followed the female driver before performing a traffic stop. The officer began speaking with the driver as she identified herself as a nurse to the officer. The driver told the officer she had lost a patient and had been drinking. While speaking with the female driver showed a level of impairment, leading the officer to initiate SFSTs (Standardized Field Sobriety Tests).
After performing poorly on the SFSTs, the officers placed the suspect under arrest for suspected DUI. The suspect began telling them to drive her home, becoming upset by her arrest, stating she would lose her license. Officers placed the suspect in a patrol car for transport to jail. Upon search of the suspect at the jail, numerous medications were found in the suspect’s possession. The vials of medications were from the suspect’s workplace, prompting a detective from the Cleveland Clinic Police Department to get involved in the case.
In the investigation findings, it was stated the suspect was “very sloppy with her documentation”. The suspect was charged with DUI – Driving Under The Influence Of Liquor, Weaving Course, and Follow Too Close.

You'd think being an ER nurse she's seen her share of accident victims, probaby many as a result of drinking & driving. Apparently, she hasn't learned anything.
