Enemy Tricking Action Roguelike!! | Let's Try Swordship

Get Swordship: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1804270/Swordship/

Swordship is a futuristic lightning-fast dodge’em up which flips the script on the traditional arcade shooter. Turn both the tide of battle and enemies on themselves by dodging, weaving and diving your way through an onslaught of enemies hell-bent on tearing your Swordship apart.

The Let’s Try series is a way to preview / review games in order to get my first impressions through the first moments of gameplay.

  2. The fact that the camera is in front of the ship and we keep looking behind bothered me in a way that I had to even stop watching.

Nice ideas in the game, but why couldn't they keep the camera behind the ship for us to be able to look forward ?

  3. the upgrade you were confused by let's your dive while delivering the packages to those little yellow ovals, not dive while picking up the packages from the long yellow bar, I'm pretty sure.

  4. I hope you have an amazing holiday time Mr Retro. The time you've given us is bountiful with cheer and good wishes. For that we are all appreciative. Don't push yourself to upload if it's ever too much. I don't know you, but I love you man keep it up

  5. This is an aggressively cool game. I feel like its slickness just kicked me down a short flight of stairs, stared down at me from the landing, and said, "Climb back up here, fool. I dare you."

And I did. But I brought a butterfly knife this time.

  6. This game does look pretty fun for an arcadey style shooter with a twist, and speaking as someone who's had to do some content creating to pay the rent I would say you should never under value your work. That being said, I was a bit surprised to hear Reto drop that this normally has a $20 price point, and it's not like it's early access or that there's a roadmap for future updates. Even $10 feels a touch over-priced for what's here, unless there's a lot more content with the progression system than meets the eye. Looks fun, but at minimum I'll be waiting for a sale before I commit to a purchase.

  7. Something of the sitting backwards on the streetcar vibes feels. (IMO: i'd move the POV up a little (8%ish) and left or right 8%ish, players choice.. Or heck.. players POV choice all around for new perspective of the game .

  8. This game just looks cool and the music really adds a frenetic highlight to the game play. I would like to see more of this. I am interstate in getting this for myself. Seems like this could be a decent portable game too.

  9. Pricing is so weird, because three things are true simultaneously:
1 – Indie games are too cheap for the work that goes into them
2 – games in general are too expensive for people to afford them
3 – within the ecosystem, price infers too much about what the game is going to be in terms of scope, length, replayability, and polish

  10. I am surprised to hear that you pay for games. I've bought multiple games that I first encountered on your channel, I suspect many others could say the same. It's free advertising for games, and very good advertising at that! I would think game devs/companies would be drowning you in free games hoping you post a video about them.
