It’s funny because I can agree with most of the points you make, but still be baffled by your ultimate conclusion. We have FAR surpassed the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah and that is if half of the stuff coming out is true.
Just because the people saying Jesus’ coming is eminent have been wrong over the years, doesn’t have any bearing on present circumstances. I’m not reading prophecy into the headlines but the sins of the Amorites are puny compared to what is happening. Too bad I can’t go into detail here.
Wake up folks.
In matters pertaining to our spiritual journey, I admire your profound wisdom, my younger brother. Your insights into matters of faith surpass my own, despite the two-year age gap between us. I hold great affection for you and pray for God's blessings upon you, my dear brother.
This content really helped me understand better.
We miss you Jeff! Praying for Apologia 🙏
Love you All so much The Truth In Christ Jesus ❤️ Kathleen
Pastor Jeff, im just glad you arent preaching on how to Vote Like Jesus

I'm happy to read the Bible "literallyᵀᴹ" when looking at Deut. 7:9:
"You shall know therefore that Yahweh your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments" (LSB)
If a generation is 40 years, then we have +/- 33,000 years left

Wait just a minute. Do you mean no Russian invasion, no Red Heifer, no Mark of the Beast, no getting zip-lined out of here to an ethereal existence, no catastrophic Earth-destroying events, no mass death and destruction? Well, that doesn't sound like much fun. I feel somehow cheated.
God bless Apologia!
This is such an encouragement to me. I'm not sure exactly where I am in my eschatology journey (grew up amil, probably would call myself optimistic amil), but to hear the biblical truth that Christ is not just my personal Lord and King, but also reigns over all the affairs of men is news that never gets old. Keep preaching the Good News of Christ's complete victory brothers. Much love from Australia
Oh man! This guy is totally insane!!! Talk about just making up things???
When Christ says "the kingdom of God is upon you"….could He be referring to Himself….the incarnation? You see, I think there is alot to be said about "Christians" being far more concerned about the where as opposed to the who. I am pretty confident that when we cross the Jordan and come into glory, that we will have very little concern about the where and be completely wrapped up in God's awesome glory. Likewise, l am pretty certain that those who are perishing are going to be far more devastated by the fact that they are forsaken and for all eternity going to experience the full weight of God's wrath and justice versus a "place". Many scriptures are of an anthropomorphic nature by design. I can't be too hasty in laying my cards down on eschatology. As for me and hopefully anyone who reads my comment, my hope and prayer is that you will join me at the Lord's table to worship Him…to adore Him…to exalt Him, irregardless what is on the table. When that day comes, I hope we all break open our collective alabaster jars of ointment and properly adorn Him.
Constructive criticism, cut about 90% from your intro.
I think a lot of Western society has framed things around catastrophic events. There is always a fascination with what cannot be comprehended.
All these things people say about being given knowledge of the end being around the corner reminds me of the nondoms back in the 1600s with their false prophets and lack of theology. Of course Revelation is the end of God's revelation.
I never been a big fan of the end times. I try my best either way. I feel like either side could be right and there's so much work to study this stuff that it's not worth my time to study it. Im far too busy studying apologetics and other biblical stuff. To really dive into revelation, it would take far too long for me as of now. I might someday. I know that the people I most respect, Jeff, James white and bahnson are all post millennialism so that's enough for me to lean towards the theory. I always do my own studying so I can't 100% commit because there's very smart people on both sides. In the end to me, it doesn't matter as much as other things.
Wait, wait, wait…. You can make eschatology easy? Why didn't you do this video 10 years ago and end all this bickering 😆
Eschatology has always been a topic I have steered away from in discussion or study. I've never heard a pastor preach on it with conviction and instead just a broad overview of all the different beliefs and so I left those sermons with the thought it doesn't really matter to land anywhere.
I've struggled with depression throughout my life and although there has been magnificent freedom through the work of Christ and the Spirit in my life, I still feel troubled at times. Your opening here in this video has made me think that perhaps my lack of understanding, of not only what the Word teaches but also my own preconceptions and beliefs may be a significant factor in my thought life when it comes to hope, joy and contentment.
Thank you for taking on this topic. Only a few minutes in but wanted to pause and say this and I wish a blessing on your ministry and pray for God to renew my heart and mind with His Truth moving forward. God bless.
Hope you're right, I just dont believe you are. Too much pointing to one world this, one world that, the mark, and on and on.
Luke 21:34-36 LSB
34 “But be on guard, so that your hearts will not be overcome with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;
35 for it will come upon all those who inhabit the face of all the earth.
36 But keep on the alert at all times, praying earnestly that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
2 Timothy 4:1-5 LSB
1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and teaching.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Shut out the doomaday doctrines and focus on what Jesus wants you to take away from his warnings: no matter what is happening around you, keep firm in the faith. Whether the world ends tomorrow or 10,000+ years, we're to keep vigilante not by looking for signs but by serving God.
Jesus lives! ♥️ and is Yahweh God 🙏🏻 Christ ✝️ and King 👑
which ones are the other enemies besides death ?
Hey what bible translation and lay out ya got there? Nice looking bible
Here is an easy way to look at christian belief and to know where the lie of christ truly leads them!
When asked about forcing more people to be born knowing that more people will suffer eternal torment…Christian, @Scott_Terry, said, "Your mistake is thinking that anyone who ends up in Hell is a sort of loss for God or that their journey to Hell is shameful to Him. Rather, their going to Hell glorifies Him somehow or other, which is great news for abortion doctors since that's where they're all headed." Is there anything that shows more hatred than that statement? He is so delusional he believes my critique on hell is on an imaginary god and not his own monstrous justifications. Nothing showcases the lie of christ and the moral bankruptcy of forced birth extremist more so than their belief in hell.
Does Christian belief upon hell prove they truly hate humanity? Should their actions, words and beliefs be used to showcase this hatred? If hell is real then the number one moral thing that could ever happen is for no births to ever occur again. In fact, abortion would be the second most moral thing one could ever choose. No finite life would ever be worth the risk of eternal suffering. The hate of those that want to force more births while believing the majority of those ever born will choose eternal torment is overwhelming. Most forced birth christians agree that an aborted fetus would go to heaven (but there are still some christians who believe their god would send a fetus to hell)! How sick is that? How insane is a religion that makes human extinction the best option to end human suffering?
And this flawed thinking by the so called pro-life movement and christians is what makes them so dangerous and showcases their evil hypocrisy. They think they are moral but are far from it! They place the worth of a non-conscious being over the well being of every human on the planet. You see this in their support of those that do nothing about climate change or gun violence, supporting those that do nothing about America's unsustainable health care costs, supporting those that give tax breaks to billionaires at the expense of the poor and middle class, the support of Trump's authoritarianism and supporting those that want to force raped little girls to give birth. The pure hatred for all conscious life is the foundation of christians as shown by their real world actions, words and beliefs.
My summary is this how can He not to be ruling now with All this promises given to the generations after His rising sitting on the right side of the throne . You don’t rule if you don’t have a seat at a throne so why would He be sitting there . The woman ask Jesus could my sons sit next to you in your kingdom, sharing His love is one thing but proclaiming by having a seat at a throne is another. King on kings is in control and in power Now , that’s where our faith comes in our long suffering is that belief is to know He is in power and looking to at us how we do believe. It’s our gift to say yes to this faith because we don’t have from the beginning of Adam and Eve . They said yes to all God gave them but faith has been given because there was no need of it until the fall . Then it was given in the works of our salvation by the Holy Spirit to fight the good fight of faith. The suffering is our doubt sin is being taken from us each and every moment of our life but faith is built to point of how Jesus looks of approval. Faith pleases God for the sake of sharing His kingdom a gift to be one in Him . Jesus asked to believe no works but know who Jesus is Satan is the father of lies , lies has no gifts in it lies denies all of that’s in God and that’s the part of testing and the Holy Spirit , Jesus and God are one for you to be in one baptism one faith to be one church like God Himself. Trust is our power for the armor of salvation, it will develop our strength to wear that armor. We have so must to praise our Lord for because He’s doing all for us to believe and come back where Adam began and Us to finish. By Jesus being the second Adam gives us to finish what Adam couldn’t and that’s live with Jesus forever. We are here just look around you we are in a war like no other time , it’s all in front of Us truth vs lies our great commission started with the the 11 and Paul and it had never stop and for me it’s Salvation and The Second Coming which they preached and taught, trust and praise is our discernment to receive what’s the spirit is saying in His word. Thank you for the teachings Jeff
To God be the glory!
THANK YOU Pastor Durbin. ✝️🙌🙏
The, if, question?❤
God bless Apologia. You guys introduced me to biblical Christianity and I'll be forever grateful. I would like to see a response to the idea that we are living after the 1000-year reign of christ and are now in the "little season" of Satan's deception of the nations spoken of in Revelation chapter 20. God bless!!
Enjoyed the talk, can anyone point me to a deeper dive on post millennium eschatology? I have always been in the Amillennial camp and i can't see any difference from this video
Pastor Jeff, is there any way I can contact you? I watch your channel, your debates, your everything, and you seem so happy and confident in a reason to be happy (God). I need that happiness! I believe in God. I believe in Jesus. However, I am absolutely terrified of death! It affects my life every second. I’m tormented with thoughts like “if we die anyways and it’s unavoidable, why continue life now?” I believe in heaven, but am still scared. I have thought that torment me like “what if I’m wrong and I just cease to exist?” Or even though we’re promised eternal life, what exactly does that mean? Will the same ME that is here now BE in heaven? I need hope. I need prayer. Please, please pray for me! I’m not in a good place. My children and I have also been through a lot of trauma the last few years with my husband leaving to date my daughter and his step daughter. She claims nothing happened prior to her adult years, even so, this is still reprehensible and sick! There’s so much fear, pain, and loneliness in this world. I can’t stand the thought of having to endure DEATH, leaving my children, leaving my body, the terror, the fear, and being scared of what exactly happens afterward and if I will in some way not exist anymore. How can us, made in Gods image, being life, being unique individuals, who are so precious, just cease to exist one day. I can’t bear the thought of that for me and definitely not for my children. I believe heaven is real and we will not ever truly die. However when confronted with the thought of death I feel terror. This is taking all my peace from me and ability to function. Please pray that Jesus gives me peace, not like the world gives peace, but HIS peace. Please pray for me or reach out if you can. Thank you for defending the faith and reminding me of the hope, more than hope, we have in Christ Jesus. Please remember me. I’m just another in a million comments, but please remember. I am one of Gods creations, he calls us to love one another, and this is very serious.
Steve Lawson is a beautiful example of God exhibiting his just and perfect sovereignty.
I, too believe that Jesus will return and that there will be a final resurrection (of the body) and judgement. However, in studying this out over the past few years, after being premil dispensationalist for 30 years, I have also come to an understanding that the idea of the "rapture" is not what people think, ie a mass exodus. To me, it is something that started in the first century and is what occurs to every believer since that time. It is what happens to the soul at the moment of physical death. The OT "believers' souls slept in the grave until the end of the old covenant. Paul then writes that we shall not all sleep. I believe that he is referring to what happens now for believers. We no longer sleep in the grave, but are "harpazo" into the presence of God. This is what is meant in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. It's what happens to believers at our death. Rev. 14:13 says blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from NOW ON. This means that we don't have to sleep in the grave like the OT saints. Our soul instantly goes into the presence of the Lord at death. Then, at the end, our body will resurrect and join our soul. This seems to make much sense based on my studies, but I would be interested in hearing your opinion about this position.
33:33 the nonsense people like this dream up is absolutely wild
