Eliminating Carbon Emissions in a Large City Fleet operation

Eliminating carbon dioxide from a large fleet takes time and effort, due to the long replacement cycles, supply chain issues, and budgetary challenges. City of Madison is working on a plan to get there by 2030. Major electric charging infrastructure work is an increasingly important part of the equation, as is renewable biodiesel for heavy duty trucking that won’t be possible to convert to electric by 2030. Madison is also working to increase access to charging stations for the public with partner groups.
